  1. Anyone have insight into EOSE this morning?
  2. I really liked the Santos when I tried it on. Extremely comfortable and looked great. Still ended up going with the GO 70s that I was considering at the same time.
  3. A really good friend of an attorney I work with sat next to Disu's parents at the Penn State game. They absolutely LOVE Terry and apparently the entire team does as well. That bodes well for keeping this class together and recruiting going forward. I have a hard time believing with Terry's ability to hold things together this season during incredibly difficult circumstances, getting to the Sweet 16 (hopefully further), and having the unbridled support of the current players and parents that they don't hire him. That continuity considering the tumultuous turn of events re: Beard can't be underestimated. Probably not my first choice but he's done enough to have earned a shot, imo. If they hire him, they need to commit to it and give the guy at least a 4 year contract. Can't hamstring him from the start.
  4. I really can't say enough good things about Direnzo watches. Really well made and fantastic design. I posted the DRZ04 Mondial before, but this DRZ03 Eclipse is just as good. Love how the Eclipse is actually implemented into the dial and not just a name. If you're looking for a sub-$1000 watch that's high quality and something a little different, definitely worth looking into.
  5. Good to hear because I haven't been motivated to watch more of it after the first 2. Will continue.
  6. Traska makes some nice watches. People sleep on microbrands but there are some great smaller brands out there.
  7. Yeah, that L&H is gorgeous. Out of my price range though.
  8. Gorgeous watch! I've kind of been considering sun $1k as affordable. I realize it varies from person to person, but that's a great watch at $750.
  9. Trafford working on a bracelet...looks pretty good.
  10. Another watch I would highly recommend although I don't own one yet is the Delft Watch works Oostsport. One of the owners of the brand has another line of watches that are much higher end. But he's a fantastic watchmaker and this is a great looking watch. About $800
  11. Two brands I can definitely recommend I the $750-850 range are the Direnzo DRZ04 and the Orion Hellcat. I also highly recommend the Formex Field on the adjustable strap - sub-$1000. Another microbrand I like for under $1k is the Straum Opphav. Finally, if you like a cushion case, I love the Duckworth Prestex. I think it's sub $750.
  12. Not sure on EOSE, but I did add quite a bit at $1.08. My only green showing right now. Although the recent AMY surge has been very nice to my account. Still in the hole though.
  13. Here's a detailed review of another DuFrane watch, the Travis. https://indiesandmicros.com/2022/12/field-report-the-dufrane-travis/
  14. Another great Austin brand is DuFrane. I've heard that he'll let you help with the final assembly of your watch. But haven't tested that out myself. Definitely on my list to add one of these.
  15. It really is - happy I bought one. But I also like squarish watches.
  16. A few wrist shots. My wrist is 18cm.
  17. They wear really well and the curved crystal is cool. Definitely a nice, fun watch. I have the Mockingbird coming in.
  18. While I'm at it, there's a microbrand based in Austin, Trafford Watch Co. They just had their Kickstarter for their new Crossroads. The Kickstarter is over and the watches are in production. I received a pre-production model, the Bluebonnet. If you like squarish watches, this is a really great looking watch. The curved crystal is very cool and creates some really interesting effects with the light reflection. And you get to support an Austin-based brand.
