  1. This is what got Joel Klatt nearly killed in the Box 12 championship Gabe. Dropping back to pass may their own goalline when they were losing by 67 points.
  2. Not in Ameritrade either, which I'm assuming is due to the name change. A little frustrating because that has most certainly tempered a potential recovery after the CEO passed away last week, causing it to plummet.
  3. Name change to RecycLiCo way approved so I'm sure their ticket symbol is changing.
  4. Thanks, Agreed on the assessment. Holding some of the same stocks. Commercialization will be big. A buyout would be great. I do like the CTO and hopefully they can bring in a new CEO who will jump start things as they begin commercialization.
  5. I'm also wondering if recent health issues may have been the reason the stock took a nose dive in the past couple weeks. Clearly the market doesn't like his passing, but I have always thought the CTO (now interim CEO) presented much better than Larry did. I guess the key is whether he has any business sense and ability to position them for commercial operations.
  6. I hate to laugh but that was pretty funny. I was also actually thinking that he may have been the right guy for the initial stages but they might want to go with someone else as they move to commercial operations. While the technology has always impressed me, I can't say I was blown away with his leadership, at least publicly. Agreed with no revenue. That said, I was getting the impression that with the pilot plant producing and the recycled material achieving the promised quality standards that the pilot plant material could be used to generate some revenue while a full-scale facility was constructed (which was originally designated to be next door to the pilot plant). So hopefully they should have some revenue stream starting up soon. I don't know how much that will be from the pilot plant though. It sounded from a previous announcement that would begin in the 3rd quarter. So maybe we'll see something very soon. Would be nice.
  7. So is AMYZF completely dead? @Harrison Stafford Holy shit its tanked the last week.
  8. FYI, if anyone is looking for an affordable diver with a Sinn-like aesthetic, definitely check out Vero. $885 on the bracelet and a very good all around dive watch. Unbelievable 10 year warranty on ANY damage. https://vero-watch.com/
  9. For those interested in the GPHG Finalists, I added a complete list at the link: https://bespokenlounge.watch/board/topic/83-gphg-finalists/#comment-187 Discussion here: https://bespokenlounge.watch/board/topic/82-gphg-2022/#comment-188 One of my favorites is the crowd-designed/built Lyrique Etude No1. But there are a lot of really great nominees and beautiful watches.
  10. I have to say I was ignorant of this fact. I do enjoy Elle King though. Rob Schneider, not so much.
  11. Trademark trolls - Fuck Em. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
  12. The on my Spitfire is incredible. Bought the watch 5+ years ago and it is still one of the very best bracelets I have. Only the GO 70s tops it. Helps to have the on the fly Microadjust to keep it kind of snug since it is a tall watch. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
  13. For anyone interested in Independent brands and bespoke timepieces, here's an article about one of my favorite brands, Holthinrichs. https://www.fratellowatches.com/strap-check-my-bespoke-holthinrichs-ornament-on-a-beige-kaufmann-alligator-strap/ Also, if you're interested in Independent watch brands, shoot me a message. @immamac has been helping me set up a forum specifically for small independent watch brands. I'm getting close to launching it, but could use some beta testers.
  14. Interestingly, I went into the Rolex store about 5 months ago and they didn't have any actual watches on the floor - just displays. I talked with the lady for a while and expressed some interest in a few of the less popular models like the Yachtmaster and Explorer II (I don't really have any interest in Submariners). Didn't put my name on the list or anything, just talked with her for half an hour. She suggested I buy some jewelry or a Tudor, neither of which I'm interested in. They called me out of the blue yesterday. I was in a meeting and didn't take the call, but I'm wondering if they actually got something in or if it is just a courtesy call. I know the market is slowing down, but since I didn't even put my name on the list for anything, I wasn't expecting a call. I guess I'll call them back today and see.
  15. Would be nice to see AMYZF do the same.
  16. Not sure why it didn't include the quote the first time. User error.
  17. BTW, this album is fantastic.
  18. Damn, crazy to see this thread at the top of the board. Wife and I just finished the entire series for the first time tonight. Amazing storytelling. Season 5 was a little over the top and the weakest of the bunch, but it did a really nice job of wrapping up story lines and tying up loose ends. Great series. Glad it ended when it did - way too many go on way too long and I just have to stop watching them. This was great from start to finish. Any other suggestions for good series to watch? I didn't catch any series done before around 2015.
  19. Not if you don't have a history. Same with the AP RO and VC Overseas. You might be able to get lesser models within a reasonable time frame and start building a buying history though. I'm not overly interested in those anyways, except the Overseas is just a phenomenal watch. But I feel like you get more for your money with independent brands now. Hand finishing quality, innovation, and the opportunity to develop a relationship with the brand and even the person who actually makes your watch. I'd personally go with a Parmigiani Fleurier, Laurent Ferrier, Gronenfeld, Moser, or Czapek before the name brands. You don't get the name prestige, if that matters. But you get the same or better watch. Although those are getting hard to source as well as they have gained in popularity over the past couple years and production that is a fraction of PP/AP/VC.
  20. Do you mean flip as in buy one new and turn around and sell it or just sell ones you already own? Selling a watch isn't "flipping". That said, the hype watches from Rolex/PP/AP/VC are definitely down already and seems like they'll continue dropping. There's also a softening in the watch market as a whole (due to US/World events), but less so for the watches that aren't multiples of retail. Right now its mostly impacting grey market dealers who overextended based on the expectation that prices would continue to rise, as well as idiots paying those crazy prices (although they don't have to sell). I imagine if this continues to head down over an extended period of time, you'll see a LOT fewer fly by night grey market watch shops. For those with liquidity and/or the ability to weather the storm, it might be an opportunity. I still like independent brands with extremely low production. They aren't as liquid because they aren't well known, but there are so few available it doesn't take much demand. Just a month ago, Czapek announced they were halting orders on the Antarctique de Drake for a year and orders placed prior were only guaranteed to arrive by EOY 2024. Moser prices have gone up slightly since the beginning of the year and remain steady. I anticipate an announcement with Moser and a non-watch brand this month which may generate some excitement. Other independents like Parmagiani Fleurier also remain quite popular. There are a lot more people who can buy a luxury watch when the price is going up than the number of people who can buy a luxury watch when the prices aren't going up. This will be a big, and well-needed shakeup and hopefully return some sanity to the secondary market. For the longterm, that's a good thing. The pre-owned market is still going to grow over the coming years - but the craziness of the past 18-24 months is unsustainable.
