  1. Heading to POC tomorrow and even if I have to take pics of other people’s fish at the dock, I vow to put an end to this drought of saltwater pics on this thread. #MakeSurlySaltyAgain

  6. That Don Benito’s that opened on 1604 and Lookout Rd has some Barbacoa enchiladas with a tomatillo sauce that I enjoy. Not something you see on other menus that often.
  7. That was fun
  8. The fact that we had a DH hitting below .200 is still something that baffles me.
  9. If he is going to sit for three hours and watch the movie, let the boy see some bush
  10. I know Piastri will crash into Lando in turn 1 but it is good to see McLaren stepping up their game with the upgrades.
  11. We are wrapping up the first season of Treme. Not sure why we avoided it for so long. Beautifully done. Can’t believe how many cameos they got for a first season of a series.

  13. https://time.com/6289319/the-bear-season-2-guest-star-cameos/ A good list of cameos and guest stars. Don’t read until you finish Season 2.

  15. Run time: 3 hours
  16. l have been driving the past couple of days and so I listened to a few episodes from the past week. (I usually only listen to the interviews) Between Beth being absolutely exhausted from having to baby sit Howard for his daughter's wedding weekend to him revealing that she tells him to stop talking during sex, she really seems at the end of her rope from having to be caged up with him for these past three years.

  21. COVID really hurt the fish population because every Tom, Dick and Harry spent every weekend at the coast. Then the freeze happened and I am sure wiped out all the small trout, trout that would be solid keepers now. Not to mention those fish will never get to spawn more fish. It is going to take a while to rebuild. I have done my part by not fucking fishing since October.

    Wine

Had group dinner at The Little Nell in Aspen last night with two different winemakers and we let the Somms do a mystery blind tasting with us throughout the night. Basically can you guess varietal and region. We ordered a Gosset Celebris 2008 to start. They then brought out the Poully Fume and the Ink Grade. Poully Fume was delicious . Ink Grade was the least favorite wine of the night. It had a green quality to it that I couldn’t get past. Then we ended up ordering a mag of the Sancerre which I am told was a unicorn type wine. That was confirmed when someone from a different winery stopped by the table and saw the bottle and said “oh!” Everyone geeked out about it. I just looked it up on the list and it was $1000. Somm said they get the only two bottles that come to Colorado Next wave of blind wines was the Barbaresco and the Bernstein. Barbaresco showed really really well and the Bernstein was out of this world good. Both winemakers were blown away by it. The Erasmus threw everyone off. Nobody even came close to guessing Priorat. It was big and chewy though. Final wine was a tough one. Everyone kept guessing Bordeaux but the Monte Bello was of course great. It held up fantastic on the fruit and had zero of that typical brickish color that you would expect with a 94 vintage . Pretty solid little dinner. Weather was high of 65. Going to be hard to get back on that plane to TX.
