  1. if the Suns want a pick in this year's draft as part of the return for KD, you'd think a trade would be agreed to within the next day or so...
  2. i have watched a lot of gold cup games, but missed the Canada game last night. prior to that, I had thought they and Panama had looked like the two best teams in the tournament. that was a very surprising result.
  3. i saw someone said 3:00 on twitter. who knows if that is accurate or not. $9.95 please.
  4. i have to be reading this wrong. is it your implication that the only spots we're set up for in the future are QB and the kicking game?
  5. yep - i remember how bleak things were around here right after the 4th of July last year. We all saw how that turned out.
  6. it feels like the tea leaves are pointing towards KD going to San Antonio. if that's the case, what would you guys think about doing something like one of the below trades for Derrick White? Brooks + Whitmore + #10 + another premium pick or two or Jabari + Landale +one more premium pick + 1-2 non-premium picks It's hard to really know what type of pick compensation is adequate in today's market, but White is under contract for 3 more years + a player option after that and would be 34 at the time his deal expired. He'd be a solid veteran player who can shoot and defend and has won before.
  7. Things will be going 1000mph for any QB who is brought in under the circumstances it would require for a backup qb to play in Columbus. Might has well have that be someone with college experience if it comes to that. After that game though, there should be plenty of opportunities for Owens to get reps and build confidence in the remainder of the non-conference slate.
  8. If the Rockets trade for KD he will most likely sign a 2 year extension upon being traded - so it's really 3 years of KD. according to Shams, the Suns have been talking to Houston, Miami, and Minnesota the most, but KD has no interest in going to Minnesota:
  9. the only page of this thread i have read over the past several weeks is this one, so i'm sure something along similar lines has already been posted, but here is my ideal schedule template: week 1 - home game against someone from the MAC, AAC, Mountain West, or Sun Belt week 2 - home/away against a big time BIG or ACC team (or Notre Dame) week 3 - home game against someone from the MAC, AAC, Mountain West, or Sun Belt week 4 - bye then 9 conference games.
  10. the Adams re-signing is fantastic and also takes away the need to draft a center with the #10 pick if we keep it. jalen green + dillon brooks + #10 pick for KD is an easy move to make if phoenix will take it. i'd put that on the table and tell me to let me know by draft day. I'd probably let them choose between the #10 this year or their 2027 first if that made a difference, but they only get one pick and i'd do everythign i could to ensure it wasn't the 2029 pick.
  11. ok, i'll admit it. i haven't followed recruiting super closely yet for this year, but i had been under the prior assumption that a guy name Sam Roseborough from Florida was a white guy.
  12. i've noticed a lot of that as well. i want the rockets to trade for KD and think it would significantly raise their ceiling for the next couple of years. however, i am not interested in handing over anything that is above fair market value in return for him. if the suns (and KD) are more interested in what another team offers, that's that. the Rockets are not in a position where they have to make a move to try and win big over the next couple of years. they can simply run it back and try again next summer if necessary.
  13. the game definitely swung when he entered the game in the 2nd quarter. up to that point, it looked like okc was gonna cruise.
  14. what a fun fucking team the Pacers are.
  15. i'd be fine with trading #10 this year and a future pick to move up.
  16. i haven't really thought too much about the draft as i had been under the assumption that the Rockets would be trading the pick, but since we're only two weeks away and it feels like there is a stronger chance they keep the pick than I had previously thought, i figured why not dive in a little bit? IMO, there are 7 guys who will defintely be off the board when the Rockets pick: Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey, VJ Edgecomb, Tre Johnson, Jeremiah Fears, and Kon Knueppel. So I am not even considering them. Amongst the guys that could still be on the board when the Rockets pick, I think I am most intrigued by Noa Essengue, Kasparas Jakucionis, and Khaman Maluach. Essengue and Maluach would help out defensively (I'm especially intrgiued by Essengue as a perimeter defender), while Jackucionis would provide offensive playmaking. After those three, I'm also interested in Cedric Coward, Derik Queen, Carter Bryant, and Egor Demin. At this point, I'd be fine if the Rockets drafted any one of those 7 with the #10 pick.
  17. timely bump as i've been rewatching this over the past couple of months. i'm halfway through season 6. i think my biggest take away thus far is that i did not realize at the time how fucking great the end of season 5 was. the last episode was kinda meh, but the 3-4 episodes that preceeded it were all bangers. maybe the best overall stretch of the show.
  18. wow, looks like the Crawford/Canelo fight will be on Netflix and not PPV
  19. I clicked on this thread because I was shocked there was a 4 page thread on this topic and have skimmed through after the first few posts. I don't have much of an opinon on the topic (probably lean towards The Killers), but I will do without any Modest Mouse slander whatsoever. They have an incredibly diverse catalog that spans almost 30 years: I could go on and on.
  20. pathetic shit by Keyshawn Davis this weekend. first misses weight by 4 lbs and has his main event canceled, then gets into a backstage skirmish with the guy who beat his brother on the same card. i was very high on him, but shit like that makes it easy to think he'll be another burnout like Adrien Broner.
  21. definitely an impressive win by Sovereignty. i thought the Derby win was a bit of a fluke and Journalism was clearly the best 3 year old, but hard to argue against Sovereignty now.
