There was a play on Saturday where I'm convinced he thought he was going through a walk through practice. It was pathetic. Quote
Lhorn 5471 Posted January 17 Turned into a really good player. Hope he does well in the league and has a long career. 3 1 Quote
CastHorn 1083 Posted January 17 Bobby was saying that he doesn’t think Vernon gets drafted. I think that’s insane. I’d draft him in the mid rounds as a pure situational interior pass rusher. 1 Quote
Lhorn 5471 Posted January 17 I assume this is a decision made AFTER getting his draft grade? Or not? In other words, is there a chance he comes back after getting a disappointing draft grade? Quote

msucolt45 4964 Posted January 19 I think VB is out of eligibility, unless there’s still some Covid year excuse? I’ve heard of guys going for like their 7th year of eligibility. Like dude, go to the League or just get a job like the rest of us.Hook’em!!! Quote

Just clicked this thread for the first time and noticed this 5 years and a couple of months later it finally came to fruition. In the SEC. Surround by fellow DTs from the transfer portal. And they're all getting paid legally to play. Shit has changed since 2019 1 1 Quote

Without NIL we would still be wandering the desert and getting our asses kicked in the SEC. Now that we can get payers and landed the top class this year, shits about to get even more real. It really makes me wonder if we would have landed Arch without NIL. Hell, even Banks, Williams, and Campbell. know he (Arch) doesn't need it, but he wants to win. Now we can deliver that. All these 5* WR's, damn good to great TE's, Our defense has gotten better every season, made the semis 2 years in a row, so with all those new toys for Sark,PK,Nansen, and Hazleton to work with, we will almost certainly making the layoffs and we'll for sure reach the mpu t as I'm top at some point in less than 5 years, imo. Popular Comment Professor Chesney 767 Posted April 26 Popular Comment Future fans will see the high recruiting ranking and think this was a no brainer, par for the course outcome. His original recruiting ranking doesn’t tell the full story here. Easily overranked with a body type that was too big and slow to play edge and too skinny and slight to play inside. Languished for years under a shitty staff without a clear plan and direction. Finally got some good coaches and began to develop, but no one (in or out of the team) gave him a shot to make the league (rightfully so at the time). Got married, missed the spring game because of it. And just when folks were ready to write him off he hit the weights and the practice field with a vengeance. Became a huge disruptor on key plays and maximized his frame. Helped get us to the semis. Wild ride, but glad to see it. 🤘 14 1 Quote

Sgt Hulk 15804 Posted April 26 This was the best surprise. Really thought he would be another long line of highly rated kids to come to Texas and be the topic of what happened to that dude. But he stuck it out and played himself into some cash happy for him him and Collins are the stories of waiting being patient listening to the coaches and getting paid 4 Quote
