aggy is taking advantage of a shitty SEC (which is something Herman couldn’t do in the Big 12). They’ll have a season like this once every 6-7 seasons.

The SEC is the same as it is every year.  There are a few good teams at the top and a bunch of garbage.

What changed is A&M overpaid for a real coach and are now (at least for this year) one of the teams at the top.  We need to open the damn checkbook and get UM.

they have a good chance of becoming #2 behind bama if LSU and Auburn implode.  that said I can't see LSU and Auburn waiting around to watch aggy walk right by them.

Aggy has had the perfect storm this year of their best team in a while with a major down year for the normal SEC West competition (LSU and Auburn).

Next year, Aggy loses Mond, 4 starting OL, half their DL, both LBs, and their top corner. Assuming no Juniors leave early and all Seniors do leave. LSU will have a decent Brennan back (who's no Burrow but better than the trash A&M got this year) along with actual returning starters (I don't think I've ever seen a bigger exodus between draft and covid opt outs than LSU this year). Auburn will have Nix and Bigsby with a year more experience. Longer term, Aggy may be even more screwed if some of these coaching hires continue to look strong at Ole Miss, Arky, and if Leach gets it together.

In other words, they better enjoy it while they can.

Aggy going to slip into the playoffs this year. They’ll be number 4 after ND and Clemson play each other in the ACC championship

No that means it would be Bama v aggy rematch and nobody wants to see that.

Aggy gets screwed by ND if that's a close game and Bama beats Florida.

Bama v. ND

OSU v. Clempson

Yeah these Icy hot takes happened all summer about how aggy was shit and wasn’t gonna do anything.  This board can’t predict an aggy season anymore than it can predict ours

Winner of the ACC championship will go to the playoffs. The loser will sit out.  The committee will look at the ACC championship as a first round play in game.

Not if they are choosing between ND and A&M for the #4 spot

ND would be a 1 lose team who beat the #1 at the time and current top 3 and played in the conference championship game.

A&M would be the team who lost by 4 touchdowns to the now #1 team.

They would be deciding if they think ND could keep a matchup with Alabama closer than 4 touchdowns.

ND would get in over aggy.

Why wouldn't the SEC season count as a play-in? Aggy lost to Bama by 28 points and didn't even make their CCG.
