They are, but in neither instance did OU put either team to the sword (and both opponents have also played tight games with the Baylors and Nebraskas of the world).  So they are better wins but not "holy shit wins.

Agree, OU's offense was teetering on disaster multiple times against Auburn, but I suspect  we will find out that Auburn defense isn't half bad and OU has no other real offensive weapons outside of their quarterback.

What exactly are the criteria for those rankings?

Total TDs - pass + rush.  Arch sucking it up at T2.

Edit:  need to check that for accuracy

Yes I did, I read this sentence from Biff:

"I understand Mateer has 2 more "good" wins, so I guess that's why he's getting more hype right now (plus Arch shitting the bed for 2 out of 4 games), but just found it surprising.  "

Not sure why it would be surprising Mateer would be getting more praise for beating those two teams, but it wouldn't be the first thing I don't understand.

And yet you inferred that he was drawing an equivalence between Michigan, Auburn, SJSU, UTEP, and Sam Houston, which he clearly did not.

Actually, I was actually asking for clarification and worded my question poorly, but please continue with the red ass.

I saw us do an interesting wrinkle on defense against UTEP. Simmons lines up on the LT with Moore outside of him. #1 drops back into what appears to be coverage, short zone over the middle, but is really spying the QB. He tackled him for no gain when the pocket collapsed and the QB tried to escape.

We can run similar combinations of this with Simmons, Moore, Spence, and Ant Hill. Who's coming? Good luck, Mateer.

I think that would be a very good way to play him.

Also think keeping him in the pocket and making him work through progressions, make good choices, and accurate throws would work for Texas with their secondary.

His footwork and mechanics are terrible and he often seems to break the pocket in an attempt to get things down to a street ball level.

Surprising that they both have almost the same stats.

Also “good” was in quotations because, while I think those teams are better than anyone we’ve played not named osu, I don’t think they are so good as to be getting OU a top 10 ranking

Johnny Football 2.0

We'll be okay, since 0u doesn't have a Mike Evans playing WR
