But, was it worse than this call?

Line Judge nearest the play rules this a TD, but the crew takes it off the board after talking it over. No instant replay review in TXHSFB. Helluva way to end Southlake Carroll's season.

this was a correct call, so yes, the other call was the worse of the two calls.

pretty fucked up that the referee with the U comes from behind the play and argues with the actual official standing on the pylon with the best view that signaled TD

I'm no rules expert,  but didn't we learn last year (from the Arch TD against aggy) that the goal line extends into infinity and the ball doesn't have to cross inside the pylon? He isn't actually out of bounds until his elbow hits past the broad white border. At that point the ball is well over the theoretical goal line.

Im not sure this is correct but I may be wrong

This was the worst year of football officiating I've ever seen. There were so many games where the outcome was decided by the zebras. It was either blatant corruption or Kevin Mar level incompetence throughout the sport.

Only when a body part hits the pylon.

I think this is correct. A body part had to hit in the end zone or the pylon. In this video the runner reaches for the pylon but never hits it.
