  1. They’ll rank Duke over James Madison if Duke wins. The G5 isn’t getting two teams in. At this point they’d have to knock out ND for Texas to get in (that lets them avoid the Miami/ND controversy). Or they have to knock out Bama or OU but also keep Miami out. Neither scenario looks possible.
  2. You fucking suck.
  3. The committee will work real hard to avoid first round rematches.
  4. Then you shouldn’t want us to schedule any meaningful OOC game ever again.
  5. Bama losing last year to OU in November is not the same as Texas losing this year to Georgia in November. To be clear in my position: I think Texas is left out at 9-3 unless there is significant chaos above us. I don’t necessarily think Texas “deserves” a playoff spot but I do think we “deserve” one over OU and Vandy teams that we beat and were clearly better than. A 9-3 Texas has a better argument to be in than last year’s 9-3 Bama team. A 10-2 Texas team with some midrange OOC W instead of L at tOSU would 100 percent get into this year’s field. I don’t think they’d “deserve” to be in but they’d be in, if only because they’d go in over both OU and Vandy.
  6. OU’s looked like an absolute shit in multiple wins too…
  7. So a currently 9-2 Texas would be ranked behind OU and Vandy teams that Texas beat? Really?
  8. Terrible loss no doubt, but today’s Florida isn’t the same Florida from early October - or hell, even the one that pushed Georgia earlier this month. They quit after that game so these last handful of games shouldn’t matter when looking at Florida objectively.
  9. The only path opens up if the Big 10 is a three team league, the ACC is one, and the Big 12 is one. If that doesn’t happen, Friday’s result won’t matter. And then you probably need some chaos above us anyway.
  10. Complaining about taking the points after everyone here screamed at Sark for four seasons for not taking the points sure is a take. We won the middle eight minutes 10-0 so I’m not sure why that decision was the final straw for you.
  11. Angels will hit 8x as many HRs next year!
  12. What’s more trash, OU’s offense or OU’s uniforms.
  13. Golesh would make sense at Ole Miss if Lane jumps
  14. I’ve lived in Denver forever and never heard of Crittenden’s high school. Must be new?
  15. That’s why she’s the main problem for the Pluribus - she has nobody left that she cares about. No friends, no family (apparently), nothing. The other immune aren’t in the same position (at least that we’ve seen so far).
  16. OU’s offense can’t do the shit that dogfucks our defense, and our offensive issues have not been really related to the turnovers that OU thrives on. Maybe if we played them in Norman because we have serious issues playing on the road, but I’m taking Texas all day in that rematch on a neutral field.
  17. Serious question. Where would Texas be ranked right now at 8-2 with losses to Florida and Georgia. And where would Texas be ranked if they finished 10-2. They’d be the 5th SEC team at worst, by the way.
  18. I’m bagholding ASST so yeah, it’s the stonks thread…
  19. Frank Costanza Lionel Hutz Jennifer Barkley Hector Salamanca (BB) Clay Davis
  20. Propped up by the Ags and Miami. How’d those games go.
  21. Seems like recruiting is now going to be won on the fringes, where you can coax a really good player to leave money on the table from a mid-level P4 (like a UNC) to come to Austin for much less because you know, program upside and overall college situation. The elites are more or less gonna be “highest bidder” scenarios but not every player is going to automatically take the most money.
  22. That sounds like willful/wanton conduct. This is a straight up reasonableness standard.
  23. OKC gave them a 2024 first rounder for the 2028 swap so Dallas could trade that 2024 pick for Gafford. The 2029 pick was in the Kyrie trade that then went to Houston when Houston/Nets traded some draft capital back and forth. The Spurs jumped into the Dallas/Boston Grant Williams trade and netted the 2030 swap.
  24. They are? I mean, Bama beat them in Athens…
  25. Don’t have much quibble with the AP other than the Miami/ND issue (I’d have both below both BYU and Utah and Miami ahead of ND), and I wouldn’t rank Tennessee.
