chesa boudin was a disaster. unfairly or not, gavin, kamala, and even george gascon are all going to be lumped in with him as what's wrong with progressive criminal reform.
the arabs might be on to something with the protecting the skin thing. soccer practice this monday and wednesday 5:30 to 8 and yesterday had a softball game at 6:30 and was none the worse for the wear. cowboys cap, LS fishing shirt, shorts. keep the sun off the skin, stay hydrated, and it's not so bad.
make sure you wear them with ankle socks.
i love the look but my feet get so sweaty in them.
i've got the western and i love it. it wears warmer (heavier material, different ventilation etc) than a fishing shirt so it's not my preference for outdoor wear in the 90s but it's one of my favorite shirts in my closet.
Costco's official policy is any card-holding member can bring 2 guests over the age of 18 with them. They don't restrict the number of minors with a card carrying member. I heard a Costco rep on BBC or ITV estimating 30% of people at peak traffic times fall outside of this policy.
we just got back from scotland this friday. we've got 4 kids so we rented a 9 person sprinter also. drove from london down to portsmouth and flew out of edinburgh. the motorways were easy, but there were some B roads and one-lane village roads with pullouts every 100 yards that were kinda crazy. it wasn't my first time driving in the UK so i knew what i was in for, i can't imagine how someone does that for the first time.
we stayed on the royal mile for a week and had to figure out parking for our sprinter during fringe/tattoo. the best spot is a secret travelodge parking lot that charges 24 pounds per 24 hours on cowgate near st mary's. anyone can park there, though hotel guests get a slightly discounted rate. if you're going to try to park on the roads, it's 8 pounds per hour with a 4 hour max. between the hours of 6p and 8:30a it's free with no max hour stay if you're in a marked spot. you can park on the street on a single yellow line after 6p (i think?) until 7a for free with no max.
growing up we had a gatti's at preston and park in plano that was a treat to go to. a pizza and pasta buffet where we can watch a giant tv showing cartoons while we eat? YES.
we went to the gattitown in RR in feb 2020 two weekends before covid starting getting major attention. the entire place was so dirty- sticky tables, greasy glasses, dirty forks, slippery floors (that weren't wet!), and it was packed to the gills. pretty much turned me off gattis forever. and now you're putting them into walmarts?
it'll be hestia or dipdipdip tatsuya and we'll all have a great laugh.
really though they'll be looking for something uniquely regional and unless they're familiar with austin i'm afraid they'll miss the mark.
I don't know how well known this is but St Andrews has a putt putt course called Himalayas you can play on for cheap. Less than 10 GBP per person. They start taking reservations 3 days out but even without reservations you won't have a problem walking up.
it has not been a good year for those 3.
cease's ERA is kinda nuts for how well he's been pitching. k/bb is really good, career best WHIP, BABIP is average. but 4+ ERA.
