  1. If nothing else, our diplomacy delivers the lulz. Is there a Nobel prize for that?
  2. The headlines and where everyone’s attention is focused.
  3. ROFL. That was a nice, snack sized, microwaveable holy war.
  4. Dibs on War Boner as a band name.
  5. So do we call these guys the Neo-Neo Cons or what?
  6. That this was your 666th post tells me all I need to know, AI. Begone you false human!!
  7. Well, we can only move forward now. If we didn’t force terminate their nuke program last night, we’ve got to finish it. I don’t see how that happens without boots on the ground. I hope they are Israeli boots.
  8. Yeah, have wondered if open sourcing “how to build a nuke program” to the Muslim world might be on the table if Iran became convinced that the combined Israeli/US operations were intended to erase its existence.
  9. Yeah, we’ll have to see how it all plays out. I mean, your post was the prevailing sentiment immediately after the start of Bush II’s second Iraq war, too, and it accomplished very little for its human and monetary cost. If Iran’s nuclear program was wiped out so that they can never rebuild and there is no required further commitment of the U.S. to enforce that, then this will be a resounding success and a big feather in Trump’s cap. If we wind up with retaliations, escalations, invasions, regime change and nation building, it won’t be.
  10. I'm tipsy and a little high and decided to get ChatGPT to vibe code a virtual AI CEO (named VERA), and then run a controlled test to see how VERA would perform as CEO of Tesla for Jan/Sept 2024 vs Elon Musk's real world performance. The result? Maybe AI replacing humans isn't such a bad thing after all?
  11. Asked ChatGPT if Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan were completely destroyed, how long until Iran could build a nuclear bomb if Iran were fully committed. It said 2-3 years with undetected/uninterrupted rebuilding.
  12. Asked ChatGPT: What would happen if the U.S. took out Iran’s nuclear facilities at fordow using bunker busting bombs? Gonna post the response here so we can see how well it predicts what is next.
  13. Never fear, those will be dominated by greed and assholery soon enough.
  14. Someone is going to have to take a page from Trump’s book and grab the party by the pussy.

  16. What’s going to be interesting is when my teenagers have kids, the first AI native generation that will never have known a world without AI.
  17. I owned one of those PRS Alex Lifeson acoustics for awhile. Great little guitar.
  18. If that comes to pass, I think people will just pick the AI that matches the world in which they think or want to exist. Just how they choose their other trusted information sources (fox or msnbc vs reuters, social media influencers, etc...)
  19. If Elon hadn't seemingly trashed his relationship with Trump, I'm not sure xAI would be a bad financial bet. An unregulated, uncensored AI with manipulated training data and market dominance would be a huge tool for authoritarianism and really help cement whatever narrative you wanted to prevail into the foreseeable future. The big beautiful bill already is providing the unregulated part. Elon is already happily providing the (somewhat) uncensored w/manipulated data part. If he can stay/return to Trump's good graces and have xAI be used throughout the federal government and otherwise be given competitive advantages against other options, he could achieve a market dominance. We are still in the VHS/Betamax phase with AI. A thumb on the market's table could certainly increase an AI platform's odds of being a winner.
  20. We’re going to drop infrastructure week on Fordow.
  21. Not really. There was a construction attempt, but my older brother (lets call him "Chet") kept calling it the "Polish Nuke" then told on me before I could launch and I got a parental beat down. Chet probably saved a few of my digits, tho.
  22. Price seems low…
  23. Reminds me of the time as an 11 year old when I tried to make a warhead out of the nose cone of an Estes model rocket with potassium nitrate and black powder.
