  2. That is absolutely the direction the Academy should go post Slappy-gate. Tough as fuck comedians like Gervais that will carve them up in front of the world.
  3. That Chris Rock statement looks (and is) fake as fuck.
  4. I don't think it's out of line for McFarlane or anyone else to criticize Hollywood behavior in general, or specifically in this case. Unfair or not, the criticism is 100% legit, afforded by the fact that a clearly unhinged A-list star was allowed to remain seated, accept an award, and give an acceptance speech after striking a fellow performer on stage. The reaction by the crowd to his acceptance speech was robotic - that's what he's getting at. What - you can't boo? Even a little? It's simply a deeply flawed community cowed by pwoerful people with horrible influences and bottom of the barrel values. The perception is you can get away with anything in Hollywood. And while that's changing in some respects, it's still largely true.
  5. This is the bang on Will Smith like a kettle drum thread. Go bitch about Stern on the Stern thread.
  6. African-American celebrities / Hollywood entertainers are as out of touch and disconnected from mainstream American values as white celebrities / Hollywood entertainers? Diversity achievement unlocked?
  7. This is laughable, like most of his hot takez, on several levels. Manny is quite serious in this tweet, though.
  8. Then you for sure are a dumbass and might have anger issues.
  9. Or ever. Well, except the booger sugar.
  10. No, but I have some friends that live in Overlook Estates down the road that have been there and they say it's pretty terrible.
  11. Yep, and it’s not a “promotion”. Ogden is likely just being temporarily activated to recruit on the road like certain football staff are whenever there is football coaching turnover.
  12. Beard loosened things up in January. He was all Norman Dale in November and December, but realized he couldn't have guys passing up good shots just for the sake of ball movement. I think the offense loosens up more the more he trusts the players. It's not a binary thing.
  13. Pretty much. The offense will improve with better overall talent, including shooting.
  14. I thought I was right!
