  1. Yeah, I remember that incident but hadn’t heard the end result. We rode that train with our first born son a few years before the robbery.
  2. Mrs. Brat worked at the 7-A Ranch in the summer of 1965. She worked in the office, waited tables and performed as a can-can dance girl on the saloon stage in the evenings until she fell down the steps.
  3. Downtown has already gone to the dogs.
  4. Never had a Frosty, but sounds like something Mrs. Brat would do. She likes to dip popcorn in a DQ Blizzard.
  5. I do not recall Wendy’s fries being seasoned, but we haven’t been by there since last fall.
  6. Well, he forgot why Texas plays Rice.
  7. They wipe with Gold Bond.
  8. There is one on 620 five minutes from my house. Right next door to a Wendy’s. Popeye’s chicken sandwich ftw Wendy’s burger in a pinch once every few months. Decent fries are better than WB. WB sweet & spicy is ok for fast food, but their shakes are first rate, IMO. My go to burgers are at Roaring Fork, The League Kitchen, Ztejas, Cover 3.
  9. In North Austin… https://www.blackjackguns.com
  10. Yeah, the best real season those dorks have had in the SEC was with Big 12 recruits under Sumlin. Their coveted 9-1 Covid season was a textbook asterisk joke. The remainder of their SEC record is the same old weak middle of the pack shit.
  11. And what happened to the “SEC grind”, it’s all of a sudden weak now that tu has joined?
  12. His daddy Bobby Layne says hi.
  13. Fuck all this hate. Imma gonna have a sweet & spicy Whataburger and a chocolate shake while waiting to go to my granddaughter’s (no pics) wedding out on a ranch near Dripping Springs.
  14. This 1855 cap & ball .28 caliber revolver was Colt’s hottest new technology offering that year.
  15. Arch was a clue on this afternoon’s Jeopardy TV quiz show…..
  16. Note the snaps for the canvas top along the edge of the roof. Those stretch cars were good for viewing the mountains in the national parks.
  17. Changing ETJs was the right move at the time for us because Austin would’ve annexed Brushy Creek. At least now we have more direct input to controlling our own shitshow.
  18. Here in Brushy Creek (west side of Round Rock - 78717) we voted to de-annex from Austin’s ETJ 20+ years ago and join with Round Rock’s ETJ, not long after the Legislature allowed it. We were fairly new residents then, so I do not recall how the process was started or who initiated it. In retrospect, I am very grateful we voted ourselves out of Austin’s unwanted clutches.
