Mrs. Brat and our oldest son are SWT grads (she was also in their band).
Both are staunch Longhorn fans.
I went to UT, the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, St. Edward’s, and SWT.
Soto is one of my son’s favorite places.
H & his wife took us (our 1st visit) & granddaughter (no pics) there this evening. Shared a wide variety of of Sushi, Waygu, shrimp, chicken etc….
My Dad was Mizzou Class of 1933.
Mom took me and my two brothers there for 7 months to await his return from France in 1945.
He passed away in 2002, so no help there…..and I don’t remember anything about the place.
Sorry.
I think that is the non-functional glide model that was used in early testing prior to the “real” shuttles actual launching.
California was the secondary landing site for a few of the shuttle missions, so I do not begrudge them for the one they received.
The real shuttle in New York City is the one that should’ve been presented to NASA in Clear Lake. NYC had no major physical connection to the shuttle program.
That presidential decision was obviously a cheap shot political snub of Texas.
