  1. Way better. Stillwater doesn't have the cult vibe. People are laid back, friendly, and like to party. Good music scene. Just way less "stick up ass"/weirdo shit. I've been to a game at College Station as well. Stillwater was far more my scene. I had fun in College Station, and was treated well, but I felt like I was interacting with aliens. OK State peeps felt like Iowa Staters in orange.
  2. Same. Stillwater, Manhattan, and Ames are all basically the same place. I've been to games in both Stillwater and Manhattan and was always blown away by how natural/comfortable it felt. As long as ISU, KSU, and OSU are in the same conference, that feels like a world I can live in.
  3. This is the least shocking news of the day.
  4. I'm about 99% sure I have totally different politics than Gundy, and I would love to see him on a CFB show.
  5. A little PTSD here?
  6. Let It Bleed is a strong contender for most underrated Stones song.
  7. Don't Stop is such a banger. One of their best post-Some Girls songs. My favorites are Wild Horses and Dead Flowers. Gimme Shelter is probably the best.
  8. At least the league has left no doubt vs the ACC
  9. Fuck Utah. I hope they keep falling on their face. We gave those bastards a life boat and they’ve been nothing but incredulous
  10. If Tech wasn’t so undisciplined this wouldn’t be close
  11. Holy shit these guys suck. Why do I know your interim coach is gonna knock us out of the CCG?
  12. Tomatoes and baked beans for breakfast.
  13. He killed a guy.
  14. That is in Decorah, IA. Because I wasn’t going to spend 9 hours to drive to a dry county for a football game.
  15. Yeah, I'm not exactly beating myself up over it. But I can dig a shit hole. A buddy and I went to the 2017 ISU/Akron game in Akron (we've seriously been doing this shit for decades) and had a really good time. Tickets were $5. You could drink in the stadium. The handful of people tailgating were fun, and we drank a lot of beer watching football in dive bars that night.
  16. Floyd Casey 2 hours before kick off
  17. It was back during the Floyd Casey days (one of RGIII's first starts) and there were more ISU fans tailgating 2 hours before kick off than Baylor. We tried to make friends with the one Baylor tailgate and they just sneered at us with their polo shirts tucked into their white slacks. My buddy claims when we walked up, he overheard them arguing over whose ancestors owned more slaves. We were in the middle of a multiday bender, wearing shorts, flip flops, and likely cut sleeve t shirts. It was like a movie scene of culture clashes. When we went into the game, we realized that we had bought tickets in the middle of a wealthy Baylor alum section. We had also snuck beers in in our shorts, and about half the group was shirtless at this point (there were 6 of us). It didn't take long for the natives to take unkindly to us. A Texas state trooper came up and kicked 4 of us out before the game even started. I'm not sure why they let the other two stay. The other 3 guys decided to head back to our hotel, but I was determined to sneak back in. I found a different shirt in the car, entered a different gate, got back to the original seats and barely said a word all game. They absolutely fist fucked us.
  18. I've never been treated better or had more fun as a road fan than my trip to Morgantown. Utterly first class experience. Gorgeous setting. Unique and quintessentially college football. We were getting flagged down an plied with food and booze every 50 feet. The morning before the game, a guy in the Krorgers saw us buying beer and invited us to his tailgate. When we got to the lots, we tried to head directly to it, and it took us 3 hours because so many people stopped us. Most places I went to road games people were cool (Waco and Columbia, MO being the exceptions), but it was on another level there.
  19. We're playing AT Bowling Green in 2027. I seriously might go just because it's such a fucking obscure spot and only (!) 10 hours away. I had debated going to Jonesboro this weekend for basically the same exact reason.
  20. Dude with the Stussy shirt definitely bringing some 1996 energy.
  21. Those look pretty cool, but it begs the question of "why?". CU's classic look is great.
  22. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-athletics/2025/09/157915/ted-carter-thinks-unequal-revenue-sharing-in-big-ten-is-a-conversation-that-will-be-had-over-time The gravy train for the back 2/3rds of the Big 10 is on it's death bed. Come on guys, it's not so bad.
