  1. hopefully this is just the start of the pushback
  2. I'm not really sure you could make this shit up
  3. no it fucking doesn't. the rules allow a linesman, not the referee, to report an infraction missed by the ref. but it does not allow for a missed call to get called because a player lobbies. the ref didn't see it, but he's the one that stopped play, not the linesman. The Linesperson must report upon completion of play, any circumstances pertaining to: (vi) Major penalties (vii) Match penalties (viii) Misconduct penalties (ix) Game Misconduct penalties (x) Abuse of Officials (xi) Physical Abuse of Officials (xii) Unsportsmanlike Conduct Rule 20 Rule 21 Rule 22 Rule 23 Rule 39 Rule 40 Rule 75 Should a Linesperson witness an infraction (above) committed by an attacking player (undetected by the Referees) prior to the attacking team scoring a goal, the Linesperson shall report what he witnessed to the Referees, the goal shall be disallowed and the appropriate penalty assessed. The Linesperson must stop play immediately and report to the Referees when: (xii) When it is apparent that an injury has resulted from a high-stick that has gone undetected by the Referees and requires the assessment of a double-minor penalty.
  4. no, actually, they're not supposed to call things after the fact. that's the whole point Skipper and I are making. There was no raised arm or delayed penalty. Only until Mac started whining did they stop play, the got together, and then called the penalty. that's not supposed to happen.
  5. actually, that's incorrect. they have to call it a double minor initially, and only then can it be reviewed and it will either be upheld or the penalty withdrawn. a single minor is not an option. what most who are not looking at things through burgundy and blue glasses are upset about is that no call was made initially, until MacKinnon protested. the call was made after a conclave of referees, and then reviewed. it's speculation to say only Mac gets that call, but it certainly seemed to help in this case.
  6. and fine, you want clarification I think your brain can understand so hopefully you'll drop it? Manson committed a penalty and Marchment oversold it. the second doesn't negate the first. if they had called embellishment on Marchment fine, but the penalty to Manson still stands. but they didn't. so get the fuck over it. hallelujah, holy shit
  7. yes, if you also admit fucking makar dove - don't omit the relevant part, you hack. otherwise shut the fuck up about it. jfc
  8. that last part was true last game, no? otherwise he could not have been sent down to the AHL, right? - although admittedly conditioning assignments aren't my area of knowledge. will be interesting to see if he slots in. want a complete lineup so there's no excuses later
  9. it wasn't a flop call, but keep fucking that chicken
  10. so anyway, back to actual hockey discussion: since Bednar is being a wiener and not giving lineups before the game, any idea if Colton comes back for this one? If not, who slots in for him? Vesey?
  11. it doesn't fucking matter. that it a penalty, whether he embellished it or not. the stick is above the shoulders, it's a fucking penalty. cry about the aftermath if you want, but that was a good call. others weren't. get the fuck over it. lol
  12. K-12 for me. Even was an altar boy (no touchy) for a minute. I can't do the celibacy thing, though, and for that reason, I'm out.
  13. you mean like he did with the cross check to the face in the video above? and miss me on that wasn't to the face. it was neck/head area, which is the definition of a high stick. anyway, if that's Manson's solution for Marchment the Avs will only be playing with fire
  14. (I agree, but come on, this is the catholic church)
  15. dude, a nobody? he missed 20 games due to a broken face and had he played a full season he was on a 30 goal pace before injury and maintained that after rehab (22/62 is 29/82 if meted out over a full season). in my fantasy league he is listed as top 172 player overall (which translates to top 6 forward), and 71st in stats per game - only MacKinnon, Makar, and Necas were ahead of him in that same rankings on the Avs. just admit you don't know shit about the Stars and move on. you're clowning yourself otherwise. we weren't talking about Benn. sit back down
  16. and none of those guys are substantially bigger than Marchment. there are plenty of players in the league who have tried to run him without success. that's fine, focus on him, will leave Duchene and Seguin open. and I will admit the dive if you admit Makar's "trip" at the beginning of the game was baby shit soft too. it's the playoffs, some calls will be warranted and others won't. complaining about it makes you look like you don't follow the game closely. lastly, I'm not claiming shit about the toughness of the team, just one player, and I'm not even sure I'd call him tough, just big and able to take shit from others. our identity as a bashing team left a while ago. we traded that for skill. hopefully that skill shows up and shows out tonight
  17. lol, by who? the avs are one of the smallest teams in the league.
  18. JD Vance fucked 5 couches and killed the pope.
  19. you mean the cross check to the face? lol, like Makar's pansy ass didn't dive earlier in the game.
  20. they clearly act like people who believe there will be on consequences for their actions. I can say that with confidence
