  1. Saw one f these on the freeway the other day. I can’t decide if I hate it or think maybe it’s uniquely cool.
  2. Saw it yesterday. Pretty bad. Time to end it.
  3. Man I have been struggling with ankylosing spondylitis lately. I had been on remicade for almost 20 years and it worked great. But the immunotherapy for cancer treatments sent my ulcerative colitis into hyperdrive, so I was switched ot Rinvoq a couple of months ago. It worked great for the UC, but it's not working the AS. My back and neck are a fucking trainwreck right now. Doc thinks maybe switching to Stelara could work. But this pain is brutal. Doc prescribed hydrocodone in the interim, but I don't like taking it while at work. Will pop one when I get home. But this sucks.
  4. Sounds like you got that out of your system.

My old man was a Schlitz man.
  6. My daughter's private HS implemented anything more than 7 missed days in a semester and you have to make up classes in the summer. Extenuating circumstances, like Covid or other major illness, excepted. They were just having too many absences.
  7. I had to stop reading. Fucking despicable.
  8. I've heard it definitely was. One of the few places where values are dropping. This person sounds like an Alexandre Dumas
  9. You'd still be liable for rear-ending someone. You'd pay the additional damages.
  10. Hilarious and terrifying at the same time.
  11. Maybe you're right, but I grew up Presbyterian, and I was always taught the Immaculate Conception was a thing. At least that's what she told Joseph to cover her tracks.
  12. I assumed you'd think it was low grade dog food.
  13. An oldie, but just came across this gem.
  14. I stated up thread from a couple of years ago, but Bricco, in the old Italian section, is some of the best Italian I've eve had.
  15. And I guarantee you he has no idea Jesus was a Jew.
  16. Since this is in CR, it would be so comical to ask Dotard to give his account of the Easter story. No chance he knows the Palm Sunday story, let alone any of the disciples individual stories of betrayal and denial. His protagonist would be Caesar Tiberius.
  17. I read much but not all of this. What needs to be remembered is none of the gospels were eyewitness accounts, written likely 30-100 years after Jesus’ death. That there are discrepancies not only is logical, but to be expected. In fact they were written in Greek, a language none of Jesus or his disciples spoke. When written second, third or 10th hand, credibility wanes.
  18. I couldn't find a comprehensive documentaries thread, just either individual documentaries, or something like buried in a Netflix recommendations thread. We were hunting for docs last night, because they can be really fascinating. Started on "You are What You Eat" Netflix doc where they test out diet impacts on sets of identical twins. It's interesting, not great. But I like learning new things. So what are some that people really like?
