  1. I would say something similar for LG. She has a long swing with bat drag that hurts her against top end pitching, as I've posted on here before. She's very talented though and makes up for the poor technique with great hand eye coordination.
  2. I'm gonna try to go to the Texas State game Friday night.
  3. It goes to Austin Transit Partnership and either has been sitting in capital funds or been spent on admin and consultants. Definitely nothing wasteful going on. Great ROI. https://www.atptx.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20241114_BudgetReport508_Final.pdf
  4. I wouldn't be spiking the football just yet. Let's wait for more details to come out (maybe tomorrow). Below I'll post some of my old posts from the other thread. They've never had a complete DNA profile of the perp (or perps) and this is not the first time they've claimed a "match." They claimed to find a match from a random FBI database years ago, that turned out to be bullshit (see below). The ballistics match is intriguing, but the "science" behind ballistics matching is shaky, at best. It's not fingerprints or DNA. I would like to see some definitive corroborating evidence he was in Austin at the time. I'd also like to know how definitive the "DNA" match is (i.e., the likelihood that others would share the same DNA. Also, the idea this is a CODIS hit seems bizarre to me because this dude would have been in CODIS a long time ago.
  5. That was my recollection on impertinence. I don’t think we could actually observe her insolence per se in the mugshot, but I dreamed it in my head.
  6. how does the ass take that length?
  7. I'm still partial to "rude ass titties" myself. I think that started several iterations back on the mugshot thread, where some dude claimed to have hooked up with one of the DUI arrestees, claiming she had "rude ass titties." It's been in my vernacular ever since.
  8. Well I thought it was a very lovely story.
  9. This is his high point to me, a true masterpiece.
  10. We don't have the athleticism and quickness in the interior line to run outside zone well (as evidenced by everyone on the ground). We don't have the raw strength at the point of attack to be a great gap blocking team. It's a total miss on recruiting and development. In his latest podcast, Scipio's take is that is forgivable, because O-line recruiting is hit or miss, but we should have at least turned to the portal for help to shore up the o-line, like we did for the d-line, as other teams like Auburn did. I don't keep up with portal recruiting so I can't comment on that. But the product we have on the field now looks like Charlie Strong-era olines. Just awful.
  11. One of the all times greats. This hurts. His closing narration in A river runs through it still gives me chills.
  12. Kinda sums up the whole offense this season.
  13. This offensive line is something. I realize UTEP is pretty stout up front, but having 3-4 dudes on the ground on outside zone is probably not ideal.
  14. Reality wasn't that far off. Jesus.
  15. That's what I remember. The 9.95 stuff I read about fall camp said the offense looked like shit.
  16. I had watched Arch highlights from last season recently , but not the 24 spring game. Looks like a totally different dude. Slingin it all over the place. Jesus, what a downfall. Also Trey Owens can throw a forward pass, so there's that.
  17. That's why I held on to the injury conspiracy theory. It's the only thing that made sense. He can't be that bad, can he? [Natalie portman] can he?
  18. I wish he'd had the same concern about the rest of his personnel on offense, like OL and RB.
  19. This may be a 7 win Steve season.
  20. So obviously Arch is a concern because he looks like a less talented Garrett Gilbert at this point, but holy shit the rest of the offense looks like shit from a talent standpoint. OL, RB, WR. Did Sark just mail in recruiting/development?
  21. I'm sorry Quinn, I was wrong. You weren't elite or anything, but at least you could pass.
  22. That's really my point. The big stars from SNL that went on to become household names in days gone by would now be in some apple streaming show that no one watches.
  23. A bit tangential, but I think the Hollywood alternatives for departing cast members has dried up considerably because Hollywood doesn't make comedies anymore, particularly risky ones. What hell would Chevy Chase and Will Ferrell even be in now? They don't make movies like Fletch or Vacation and certainly not Old School or Wedding Crashers. SNL might be the top floor now.
