  1. in the hallway in front of a congressional office...
  2. You'd see Obama or Biden going out to dinner or lunch in DC once in a while, but never for Dotard - yesterday was the first time he's dined in DC outside of his own hotel. And now you know why. Code Pink may have noticed the Secret Service advance team, or perhaps they heard through a friend working at the restaurant. They snagged a last minute reservation not knowing what was going to happen but it turned out the entire cabinet was dining there.
  3. This is what Clinton wrote. Not that it matters. If he had drawn a picture of a girl and talked about how fun it was to rape them I'd be disgusted and hope for the worst for him. Jeffrey – Happy 50th – It’s sobering, isn’t it, to learn later to how, after all the years of learning and knowing, adventure and worry, it is best to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference, and the solace of friends. Bill Clinton
  4. Singapore is amazing. The food is great. Easy to get around. Plenty to keep you occupied for a few days. I have not been to Bali but I also haven't heard good things about it - dirty, crowded... I've heard there's better destinations in Indonesia.
  5. China's response to the magat farmers is..."sorry not sorry, go fuck yourselves" and "it's our world now, bitches"
  6. Voting in Austin was so annoying. Half the time I didn't know if I was supposed to go the library or some damn church. They'd be staffed with random crusty volunteers to whom I'd have to show my drivers license after waiting in line for up to an hour. Then I'd have to use some unhygenic machine to vote, and when I was done voting I'd still wonder if I clicked on all the intended boxes. It's so much better in CO - ballot comes to my house. It gets dropped off inside a signed, auditable envelope at the nearby police hq parking lot. It's almost like in Texas they don't want citizens to vote.
  7. the url says all you need to know https://gigemgazette.com/espn-s-fpi-metric-selects-texas-a-m-as-one-out-of-elite-group-who-can-win-2025-title
  8. Everything I've found online says 9:45pm
  9. This is an unbelievable error by google. According to the yt page it's been up for 2 months. "It’s an absolutely flawless demonstration of how Gemini works, which is to say by mixing up two similar sounding things and then changing the entire digital landscape around them so that you end up accidentally buying tickets to see Tal Bachman instead of James Blunt"
  10. two cunts from kentucky want their vote back
  11. Crooked Biden covered up for Epstein! Release the files! It was a hoax! There's no files. Shut the fuck up already! Donald was an informant helping the gov't bring down Epstein!!! Now what?
  12. I guess there's nothing open at T3 (AA) at O'hare after 11 on a weeknight? I have an upcoming connecting flight to Japan.
  13. We saw it today. I wish it'd gone with the fun, rollicking vibe it kind of began with instead of the violence and seriousness. It was also full of schtick, which mostly annoyed me. Everyone else in our group liked it though.
  14. siap I don't recall seeing it here
  15. Musk has long claimed that Tesla would make 20 million cars per year by 2030. But Tesla's board is asking him to only sell 20 million total as part of a $1 trillion payout. Just 12 million more sales than they have already booked.
  16. Excellent, enjoyable show but I was 5ish episodes in before I really liked any of the characters.
  17. dammit I knew I picked the wrong thread
  18. More of stirring up bs mortgage fraud charges and having it blow back on them
  19. Bill Pulte accused Fed Reserve Gov of mortgage fraud for filing a loan application stating she'd use a property as her primary residence when she owned a different property she used as her primary residence. "Crime" "Fraud!" Reuters: Bill Pulte's dad is a tax scam and now owes penalties and backtaxes in Michigan
  20. I think MN lost 5 1st round picks for their Joe Smith scam, which is a precedent/comparison. Plus the Kawhi contract could be voided imo.
  21. Ha I forgot. Even dumber of them! NYT https://archive.ph/bq3zk Wachtell Lipton hired by NBA to investigate. They were the lead investigator in two previous investigations of NBA owners: Donald Sterling and Ronald Sarver. Per Section 3 of Article XIII, which details the “Penalties” within the section that covers salary cap circumvention, any team that violates league rules for a second time, as well as the player, could face the following outcomes (after their case goes to an appeals panel): A fine of up to $7.5 million. The “direct forfeiture of draft picks.” The voiding of the player’s contract, “or any Renegotiation, Extension, or amendment of a Player Contract, between such player and such Team.” A fine of up to $350,000 for the player. A suspension for up to one year for “any Team personnel found to have willfully engaged in such violation.” The voiding of any transaction or agreement found to have violated league rules, and the forced forfeiture of funds received in the deal, “unless the player establishes by a preponderance of the evidence that he was unaware of the violation.”
