It seemed like we were unable to defend the sidelines in the middle third. Especially on the Obrian/Jimenez side which makes sense but where are our mids?
Kip Kelleresque give away by Hines Ike. We need at least one major fuckup early in every game.
Wtf is SJ's formation just cryptonite for our backline? We can't defend them for shit again.
So Jimenez had no idea that dude was behind him, as he could have easily cleared that cross out for a corner but let it bounce right past him into the path of Ebobisse.
Frustratingly familiar start against these guys.
I like Kristen, I don't think there is much of a dropoff from Padme.
But...This is the worst season they have done and it's not particularly close. I'm usually pretty entertained even when they have a down year, but I am finding it hard to enjoy this shit show.
Just show Gail's gals jiggling around and please never do another boiled white fish challenge again. That was mystifyingly lame and none of that food looked interesting or tasty.
That header from Driussi practically painted the upper 90. 3-1.
Zardes with some effective play down the sideline setting up a goal for the second game in a row? That would be a nice development if it continues.
For a long time, I thought Cloak and Dagger was just a fever dream I had as a kid and not an actual movie. I just thought I imagined some 3 finger old lady trying to choloroform me while i ran around San Antonio.
That fucking sucks. Those players haven't done shit internationally except kick around some shitty Mexico squads. Vetoing a coaching hire like they're Lebron James shouldn't be in the realm of possibility IMO.
Ah well, I guess there is always a chance we make it to the quarter finals after scoring like 2 goals in the group stage and pulling out a stoppage time 1-0 victory in the round of 16.
I like CJ, but we really lost the plot once he came in for Obrian. Houston appeared to be the better team from that point until we made that last push and got the goal. Houston badly needs to bring in someone who can finish if our two matches against them are representative of their other results.
Zardes played his best game of the year imo, but similar to Rigoni, when the ball comes to him, I just kind of hope for the best but expect him to lose it after a few touches. Rigoni also gets props for that corner ball, but it may have been the only ball he played all game that made it to one of our players. Him and Zan just cannot seem to put the ball into a place where we have a chance to get a head on it. Perhaps we should just have Driussi kick Rabonas from the corner spot.
We've looked pretty dangerous so far, especially compared to the game in Houston. Both teams with two very near misses.
Feels like a 3 or 4 goal game. Ring and Driussi are finding the ball in good spots, one of them should find a goal tonight.
