  1. Although it's way late in the cycle and we have plenty of good to great guards already on board, I'm shocked to learn Horton might not be a lottery-level guy with a celebrated NBA career ahead of him. Fire everyone. Edit: Meanwhile, back to football. I'm ambivalent on Hampton but "trust the coaches" if he signs here. Hills I'm for sure hoping we get.
  2. But is that really so impressive? I mean, two were against Arlington.
  3. Earlier I noted he was finally fully weaponized again. Today he's reentered the DMZ.
  4. We finally got back the fully weaponized Tucker bat we so desperately needed. And just in time. As noted above, now we really need Bregman to join the party more often.
  5. Bingo. We need peak Peña more now than at any time since October. Good old sophomore slump, maybe, but he's just not performing anywhere close to the level expected.
  6. No way he signs with aggy and then plays out his college years there.
  7. I like them questioning why anyone would go to Texas to play when recent history shows a pattern of underachievement. Seems the same could have been said of their baseball and women's basketball programs.
  8. The guy might welcome it. Assuming we get healthy and stay that way through October, he'll never have a better shot at a ring. Then, he can happily sign with Houston for the rest of his career. I know it's all fantasy, but what laughs we'd all have watching the media try to reconcile a celebration of Ohtani's every blink with continuing to rip our franchise.
  9. If only there were a thread for expressing one's hatred in this rivalry.
  10. OTOH, what's the winning percentage for teams committing three errors in a road game? Must be below 86%.
  11. Dusty has a horseshoe wedged somewhere. Incredible win.
  12. I'm seeing a 13-12 final. Hope we have the 13.
  13. Y'all chill. Dusty's doing the thinking.
  14. Get him out of there. Clearly not right.
  15. Oh, hi. Right in the old wheelhouse.
  16. I adhere to the philosophy that berating Geoff Ketchum is always necessary.
  17. What's most annoying to me isn't the fact Tucker, Bregman and Jose Abreu are staying home. It's that none has hit well enough to even be a serious candidate. Tucker's numbers aren't dreadful, but he hasn't stepped up the way I'd hoped in a shiftless year. To me, Valdez, Pressly, Maton, Dubon and McCormick are why we still have a realistic shot at winning the West.
