  1. Today is a turning point, but not in the direction I suspect you desire.
  2. I don't want to have the conversation on whether or not Trump is a legitimate undercover Russian agent. I do want to have the conversation on what a legitimate undercover Russian agent would be doing differently than what we've seen over the last month+.
  3. His tweet immediately after leaving. Gotta respect the passive aggressiveness.
  4. Rhetorical question I know, but can anyone honestly articulate what we are standing up against?
  5. What a disgrace. Words cannot express how badly I wanted Zelensky to ask where Elon was during that exchange so that he could speak to the real President. (Also, I wonder how many Americans truly realize that if WW3 does break out because of this, we will be part of the Axis this time.)
  6. Someone needs to do it already.
  7. Wayyyyyy more physical strength in this cast than they’ve had recently, which is a welcome change. Purple tribe gonna dominate until they switch things up. The autism scene between Eva and Joe was one of my favorite interactions I can remember on the show.
  8. When asked by a reporter whether he still believed Zelensky was a dictator, Trump responded: “Did I say that? I can’t believe I said that. Next question.” https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5167646-trump-zelensky-dictator/

  10. This should be a radicalization, line-in-the-sand moment for any of the people who have been yelling about child trafficking for the last few years. The fact that we all know it won't be is such a glaring admission about how that "movement" is rooted purely in partisan politics and not a genuine desire to address the issue.
  11. Shit needs to start burning.
  12. Two states where the best football teams in the state are overrun with “college prep” private schools over public schools, i.e. the exact thing everyone is saying will happen here.
  13. I know this is a troll, but I really don't think the average American is prepared for what is coming with the combination of 1) total Republican control and 2) the growing "fuck 'em" sentiment of average Democrat supporters. The demonization of the Democratic party has made most Republican supporters completely unaware/incredulous of how many times Democratic policies genuinely helped them over the last few decades. They are about to find out.
  14. The long period of "watch for Joseph leaving," then the out-of-the-blue promotion immediately followed by him leaving for a job with the same title has me wondering if the promotion last week was a favor by Sark. Maybe I'm an optimist.
  15. Gonna go out on a limb and assume that measles are pretty far down the list of concerns for anyone who was at Twin Peaks for dinner on Valentine's Day.
  16. My favorite little fact that everyone over there has already forgotten was that Earley wasn’t even Schloss’s top assistant last year. He only became the “top” choice for the job once it became evident Weiner wasn’t an option.
  17. The United States of America ended when "because it makes the other side mad" became an acceptable reason for enacting policy. It's one thing to have your set of beliefs and a desire to promote them, while knowing and accepting that there will be an opposition force to these ideals that will likely disapprove. But what has happened in America is "lib tears" is the entire justification for many of these actions. Not bettering the country. Not tangible progress for the community. Merely "look how mad it will make the people I disagree with." Actively cheering on stuff purely based on how much it hurts your neighbor is some DARK shit. And it is our new Constitution.
  18. Nazi salute happened again, and the CPAC crowd cheered. video: https://imgur.com/a/former-white-house-chief-strategist-steve-bannon-sig-heils-cpac-today-FIuEqCr
  19. Genuinely, I appreciate your presence in this thread. I believe you are arguing in good faith, not trolling, and providing a clear depiction of your thoughts. My question is this: you’ve expressed a few beliefs in this thread that appear to align closer with traditional Democratic Party views than Republican. What made you able to say “I don’t agree with Republicans on guns/abortions/etc, yet I will still give them my vote” but made you unable to do the same with transgender issues and the Democratic Party? Do you prioritize the transgender issue above everything else in the country? Or were there other critical issues to you where you align closer with Republicans? (Adding in the obvious disclaimer that very few Democrats were openly campaigning on the transgender topic, it was generally just fodder lobbed by the opposition.)
  20. Spoiler for 2028: You're gonna hate whoever the Democrats nominate, even if you have absolutely zero misgivings about that person currently. Don't forget that for about 3 months, the Republican messaging machine managed to turn the most milquetoast old white guy in America into the second coming of Satan once he became the VP nominee... and then, shockingly, all of the concerns about him went away once the election ended. To anyone who even slightly is susceptible to right wing viewpoints, there will NEVER be a candidate that is "good enough" from the Dems. The media machine will ensure it.
  21. Do you know what we call the Germans that voted for Hitler, even if they didn't personally hate Jews?
  22. 995ers having absolutely no clue about staffing hires is one of my favorite Sark traditions.
  23. r/Conservative is normally one of the bleakest locations on the internet, but reading the comments here - even they aren't buying Trump's bullshit on this.
