  1. That's the before on the bathroom. Before we moved in though, I'd never let it look cluttered like that
  2. Need to do some fit and finish on the doors and drawers, but turned out pretty great. And yes, need to paint under the cabinet on the wall.
  3. Our sons were friends since 2nd grade and we became friends over the years. Eventually I got divorced from my ex, and his wife introduced me to her sister. Now they are my in laws
  4. Yeah, met her new boyfriend over the weekend. Nice guy, felt bad because he's not going to know until it's too late for him and it's not my place to tell him. Maybe he'll be cool with being managed and being dictated too. I never was.
  5. I went through all of mine a few weeks back. About once every few years I do that. All the extras that come with new devices etc. I know Apple got sued for it by a few countries, but it's dumb that ever device needs to come with a new cable and box. Terrible for the environment and a complete waste as usually they are shitty versions anyway. This year is when the YRGB, the old DVD player, the old lightning, anything under Cat6 and some random USB sticks got tossed. I easily tossed 2/3rds of it. Trying to standardize purchases on USB C but there are still a ton of needs for micro and occasionally mini. It's really annoying that companies still use those, specifically anything cheap from China.
  6. My ex is a CTO. She's not technical at all, but can typically BS her way through it and this is how she has gotten to where she is. I mean good for her I guess, but her trying to bring that manipulation home is 95% the reason we're divorced now.
  7. I'm just glad he's getting some sun on those balls
  8. I'm not a nitpicker on stuff like that. It's been really iffy. Including missing a ball right at him on an easy play from SS to 2B. Again, he'll be fine, but just striking to see it
  9. EVs kick ass and are a lot of fun. What they aren't is an environmental win over gas engines. It's honestly not close and pretty hilarious to watch people just side step the facts. At one point people truly believed they were carbon neutral day 1. Most things now even show 5-6 years of normal use to pay back the difference. Unfortunately that's not very accurate if we go back to how batteries are made and the environmental impact of it some studies show 10-12 years and basically right about then when batteries might start going bad and you're back on the hamster wheel. I truly enjoy the absurdity of driving an EV but battery tech will have to completely change as will how that tech is charged for them to ever replace gas.
  10. I'm going to need Altuve to get some more ground ball practice going. He's been super iffy on almost every play his way. I know it's early and it will be fine, but it's standing out
  11. oh yeah, this is why I rarely watch spring training...
  12. Both of my brother in laws are this man. They have their faults, but they deserve sainthood for dealing with my sister and sister in law. I have no idea how they do it. Both of them are very similiar, and have a "it will be what it will be attitude" and are super aloof. Both are intelligent and capable, but both also don't do shit around the house when it needs to be done. They just use all of their energy not exploding on the crazy they deal with day to day. So apparently it's a trade off. I love both my sister and sister in law and enjoy their company, but they both don't pull that shit with me because they know I'll call them on it. Respectfully, but still call them on it. It's pretty funny watching my interaction with the two of them and my brother in laws' interactions. In 22 years I've seen my sister's husband snap on her 3 total times. And it was brutal. Luckily my sister was wise enough to take it, and move on. I've known my other brother in law for 12 years (married his wife's sister 2 years ago, they are nothing alike lol) and seen him snap once. But it was crazy. It was "do you ever shut the fuck up?" She quipped back and he lost it. SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP. and walked away. 10 minutes later it was back to business as usual lol
  13. That is beautiful, and was a thought, but I'm going either Charcoal, black or midnight indigo. They will all go better than the room and still bring out what I want from the walnut
  14. I'm about to build a whisky shelf/cabinet out of black walnut starting in a few weeks. I was planning on doing Rubio but have never tried. Glad it has a ringing endorsement here too
  15. Also think it's important that 1 movie may be objectively "better or higher quality" than other and still not be something I want to watch over and over again. I personally consider that the hallmark of a what it takes to be a good movie for me. But I can say one movie is "better" but I'd rather watch something else.
  16. Bring it on is almost a perfect movie. No shame at all that I love it
  17. My guess is that JS gets tossed in the compost bin
  18. See the problem there is that my wife is the life of any party. She can make shit parties ones people don't forget. And that night I didn't want to take any chances lol I think that's the difference btw what this thread is at it's best vs. the divorce thread. She has some qualities that drive me crazy, but they are 2% of the day vs the 98% where she's awesome. But that thread wouldn't be as funny. Honestly, in retrospect it's more funny to me that even though she never listens to me, the one time she did it and then retained it, it was the wrong information
  19. I really think (not an uncommon theory) that Framber's issue was the clock. He wasn't in good enough shape to deal with it. Looks like he might be from those pics above. He was overthrowing in rushing his pitches. Hopefully that gets worked on easily in ST. I think Javiers issue was trying to prove he was worth the contract and trying to be a star. He just needs to be himself and pitch. I believe both will be fine this year and learned from last year. But that could just be my hope
  20. A few months ago we had a holiday party for work where our international team was in town and I was running the show. We originally were at one place and move to another. Somehow, despite texts, email, verbal conversation that week and day of telling here where when and how to get there, she went to the original place instead. Mind you, I told her one time MONTHS before the original place. Of course she goes to the wrong place, then complains that I didn't tell her it moved (easily 3 verifiable in writing things day of, including 2 texts up from where she was complaining I didn't tell her), and she was running late anyway because she always is from work and then had to back track 35 minutes and was an hour late. I can't stand people being late. I take it as complete disrespect to me and the event. She really does try but work days are hard for her because she works at and owns her own salon. But man, I had a hard time that day not being pissed.
  21. Pressly has never struck me as the type to cause the boat to rock just because he didn't get his way. The Astros made him who he became and he knows it. I actually think he's going to have a lock down lights out season just to prove how good he is.
  22. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/39492323/former-mets-gm-billy-eppler-suspended-fabricating-injuries Not sure if posted elsewhere, but this is kind of crazy. Mostly because I think every single GM does this. Kind of like sign stealing and roids, but even more prevalent ;-) ...
