  1. There are companies that will make them for you. I don't know which companies, but I have a Texas 34 sign hanging on my back porch that was given to me as a gift. It looks identical to a real one, but obviously made of sheet metal. It hangs next to the City Limits sign of the small town I grew up in and moved away from in high school. My friends gave it to me as a going away gift. I was the only one that was 16 at the time, they told me to pick them up behind so & so's house in 15 minutes, when I got there they tossed a the sign in the back and screamed gogogo that old bitch saw us and called the sheriff.... So I ended up being the getaway driver for my own going away stolen city limits sign without knowing it. /csb
  2. Understood, but that is the Big Bend thread on this site. It was a separate thread on the old site.
  3. Step one: Go to google step two: type: site:surlyhorns.com and the thing you want search step three: … step four: profit
  4. As someone that has had a CHL for over a decade, and been battling a severe case of lead foot behind the wheel even longer, this is completely a myth. Maybe it was true at one point, but it hasn't been true all over Texas in at least 12 years.
  5. Brand of car probably is important, dont you think? with Ford, you will need a OBD2 cable and software, and it isn’t exactly easy. Lots of manufacturers the dealer has to do it if push button.
  6. How about the 4 page South Padre thread?
  7. Love my August.
  8. I've run that section of river plenty of times. The Weir is man made, but I have no idea the purpose. Portage around it on river right is an easy flat portage.
  9. Yeah, don’t buy until supply catches up The reason I have not done it. Dad sold his personal 2018 XLT 2wd with 56k miles last week for 6k more than he bought it for last year. He has a brand new company truck so he pocketed the money and but most of us don’t have a company vehicle to drive 24/7 till prices come back down. DUMB
  10. Yup. I have a buddy shopping for 250’s right now. Year old, 45k miles, 3k under original sticker. I told his ass to wait. Just dumb. He test drove a hail damaged 250 in Marble Falls, brand new. The salesman was embarrassed to tell him they would knock a thousand off sticker due to the damage. He said don’t do it, but it would sell for that by the end of the week. The people who can’t find something new. Drive outside a major city and dealerships that would normally have several hundred new vehicles have less than 30. It’s absolutely unreal.
  11. It’s stupid right now. The 16 Lariat I bought 1/11 for 30k I have been offered 36k for by the dealership that sold it to me.
  12. Have a buddy that swears by Ride-Rite. Almost did it on my last truck but ended up just going with a new leaf pack. But I was not towing so the adjustability makes sense if you are.
  13. yeah, I traded in my 11 base 4x4 with 100k miles in January before things got stupid for 17k and thought I robbed the guy blind. Then saw him sell it 8 days later for 21.
  14. Yeah, I would not want to be buying any vehicle right now. I sold my Tacoma for a full-size back in January because we needed more cab space, and we almost waited. So glad I didn't, because the same truck I bought I could trade back for 7k more than I paid. If you can wait it out, I would.
  15. Not 4Rrunner, but I know the TRD-Pro for the Tacoma, it made way more sense to just buy the off-road and upgrade the suspension yourself aftermarket. Both from a performance standpoint and a cost standpoint. The only real reason for it was the exclusive colors, and that's a lot of extra cash just for a color.
  16. I renewed based on this thread popping up last month. First renewal, and I did not have to do the interview process again. Had my new card a week after doing the renewal online.
  17. That is the John Dunn bridge over the Rio Grande at the gorge outside Taos.
  18. Not yet, we are here for a week, and our AirBNB I can see the bridge from, so it's on the list.
  19. Been a while since I've had the drone up. This seems like a decent subject....
  20. We had to fly Hawaiian to Kauai, because Southwest hadn't started their route. Was $119 both directions. Flew Southwest to the Big Island. $39 both ways. Both from Honolulu. I hear Southwest flies to all islands now, so that would be the way to do it.
  21. @immamac I tagged you in discord as well, but can we get this thread added over there for easy following?
