  1. maybe he just absolutely LOVES cocaine
  2. You left off Muhammad, who is probably gone barring injury. Also Endries, the new TE, has another year but could go with a big year. You listed Spence twice. I think Kanu belongs in your second list. You also left off a bunch of Sophs that redshirted: Shannon, Randle, Stroh, Chatman, Cojoe, Lavon Johnson, Roberson, and Derek Williams. In practice I don't see any of those guys getting drafted. Maaaaaaaaybe Williams if he ends up playing a bunch and well. The new kicker and punter could conceivably get drafted. Two kickers and one punter were drafted this year. I'll say 10: Hutson, Campbell, Burke, Brevard, Moore, Guilbeau, Taaffe, Moore Jr., Muhammad, and Hill. The rest of the juniors, Arch, and Goosby stick around. Shaw redshirts to get fully healthy. No UDFAs (except the P and K).
  3. I’m not sure what the answer is. The NFL seems to have figured it out. The flip side is that right now we have Houston, Dallas, and Austin playing games in July and August. I just looked it up and the Norwegian and Swedish leagues play a summer schedule. Russia does fall-spring but with a long winter break. Maybe that’s the way to go.
  4. I just skimmed through the top 50 guys in receiving yards from last season. That's everyone with 884 yards or more. These are the only ones that make any sense at all as a potential target (i.e., didn't just get drafted/UDFA and didn't already transfer to a big time program this cycle): Jordyn Tyson, Arizona St - This one would be fucking insane. He's getting talked about as a 1st round draft pick for 2026. Originally from Allen, so there's a connection to the state. Has only been in college 3 years (and already transferred once), so is it possible for him to have already graduated? That seems kinda doubtful. Corey Rucker, Arkansas St - Strange career so far. Did well at Arkansas St for two years, transferred to South Carolina for 2022, did nothing (think he was hurt), transferred back to Arkansas St and tore it up the past two years. Has previously announced that he was skipping the draft and returning to Ark St. Definitely could be a graduate - he's already played 5 years (redshirt + COVID). Ted Hurst, Georgia State - Actually was in the portal (not a grad transfer?), but there was a report that he pulled out of the portal just yesterday. Was getting interest from big time programs (including aggy), per Google. Something doesn't seem right, here. Junior Vandeross III, Toledo - Productive for Toledo the last two years, but a 3-year guy like Tyson. Seems pretty unlikely to have already graduated. Elijah Sarratt, Indiana - Tore it up at FCS St. Francis, then James Madison, then Indiana in 3 successive years. Looking for a 4th program in 4 years? Antonio Williams, Clemson - 4th year guy out of Clemson, already speculated on in this thread. Trent Walker, Oregon State - Former walk-on at OSU that blew up in 2024. Doesn't really seem to fit the profile very well. Giles Jackson, Washington - I'm about 98% sure that this guy is out of eligibility and declared for the draft, but I can't find any record of him signing as an UDFA at the moment Of course, there are helluva lot of really promising WR that had <884 yards last year, so this is kinda a pointless exercise.
  5. Posting this to have it on the first page of the thread. Shouts to @AP101S https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=109781406921719361240&rtpof=true&sd=true
  6. They need to do Monday night games or Thursday night or something. I’m busy on the weekends.
  7. I wouldn’t call any of them a superstar, but 3 of those guys have Pro Bowl appearances. That’s “decent”.
  8. So the consensus so far is that the draft hasn’t been a disaster. But I’m really wondering what the Cowboys’ plan to win games is with exactly one offensive skill position player worth a shit.
  9. Sanders isn’t good enough to be someone’s #1, and he’s too immature to be a #2. The last fucking thing any NFL franchise wants is their backup/developmental QB rocking the boat in any way.
  10. Oh, cool. I feel like we should spend 3-4 pages unpacking that vis-a-vis this particular NFL draft.
  11. he'll do better than just walk on, he'll....trot on 😎
  12. They overdrafted Booker a little but it’s fine. Smith-Booker-Beebe-Hoffman-Guyton should be a good starting 5 and they can jettison Steele’s sorry ass after this season I think. We’re talking about Jerry and Stephen. Could’ve been way worse.
  13. Good to know that our guy has excellent taste.
  14. Maybe Europe gets involved to broker a deal? It wouldn't be as good as a deal brokered by a U.S. that is standing behind Ukraine, but it's probably Ukraine's best option at this point. Russia keeps all the territory and Ukraine gets some weak-ish security guarantees.
  15. I'm calling it right now - Shedeur falls, the Cowboys pay a kings' ransom to Philly for #32 and pick him, and Jerry crows about how he got "top-10 talent at number 32". Signed, a battered Cowboys fan.
  16. I imagine there's all kinds of ways that guys part ways with a program. To me it sounds like: Butler: "Good luck at your next stop. Turn your badge in to Dolores on the 2nd floor." Niblett: "I just spoke with Coach So-and-So at UNT, he and I go way back. He said they could really use a guy like you and they'd love to bring you in for a visit."
  17. Well it turns out that his big, beautiful plan to end it was "Ukraine surrender". Pretty shocking that didn't work, huh?
  18. So is the implication here that Shaw's knee is bad enough that he'll be cut loose? Or am I reading too much into it?
  19. Just to update this, Bobby said this morning (posted by ctj in the Archmania thread) that a transfer CB is unlikely because they like Kobe Black.
  20. It’s satisfying to me that these guys got the “Kelvin Banks isn’t a top 15 pick” nonsense out of their systems.
  21. ur mom unholstered my blunderbuss last night
  22. 100%. I bet someone like the Texans was shit talking him to anyone that would listen hoping he’d fall.
  23. They're going for an OL consisting solely of Tylers.
  24. So just to kind of sum up where we're at with portal needs/wants: QB - All set RB - They seem fairly happy here. No visitors/interest that I can remember. Maybe they look at a Velton Gardner break-glass-in-case-of-emergency type guy. WR - Definitely seems like they'd take another badass with experience. Wouldn't everyone? TE - Likely done with Endries? OL - Flood doesn't seem like a portal guy, and we're looking at a huge high school class, so I don't see it. IDL - Gotta be done with 5(!) additions from the portal so far. EDGE - I could definitely see it. We brought in the Stanford guy for a visit. Would have to be someone they think can contribute. LB - This one I'm not sure. Seems like Spence is getting good reviews. Depth chart is a little light in underclassmen though. If the right guy came along that had a few years to play like Watson, seems like it'd make sense. DB - I wouldn't think so unless it's a guy that's just too good to pass up. The depth chart is stacked and crowded. P - Done K - Done Thoughts?
