  1. Arches at a distance have every playmaker's wish on board
  2. Who are y’all using for airport transfers in CUN these days?
  3. Can't hit lefties and can't stay healthy, so he's not gonna end up the player we all hoped for. Fourth outfielder/quad-A type for the next few years while he's cheap and then cut him loose. Sometimes that's just the way it goes.
  4. "Build an entire program out of D1 spare parts and castoffs" is quite the strategy. We'll see how it works out.
  5. Going back through the thread, the story on Riley is that Joseph and Gideon weren't all that interested, but Akina and Hudson really like him. Does seem like a guy that you could let it play out a little bit before taking the commitment. Whatevs.
  6. He won't be a free agent until after the 2028 season. Arbitration eligible starting after this year. Agree that it would be smart to buy out his arbitration years and lock him up on a reasonable deal until his early-mid 30s. A guy that can OPS 750ish and play good defense all over the field is very valuable.
  7. How fucking ragey would we be if we weren’t winning??
  8. I like OT just fine but that is not his best work IMO
  9. Proton has a sale right now. I think it’s like 80 bucks for two years. Timing is coincidental I’m sure.
  10. I want to drop this bum Sonny Gray so bad. But I know that as soon as I do, one of y’all will scoop him up and he’ll pitch to like a 2.75 ERA for the rest of the season.
  11. We also drove and really liked the Ioniq 5. Much nicer ride than the Mach E. What kind of scared me off the Hyundai was that our local dealer was a total shitshow. Bunch of clowns. That kind of turned us toward Ford but I think the Ioniq 5 is a great car. At 80% charge, our extended range Mach E tells me I have 220 miles to work with. At 100%, it's about 300. I just don't go up that high because I don't need to and they say keeping it at 80-90 is better for the battery long term. One really underrated aspect of EV ownership I've found so far (if you can charge at home like we can) is no more gas tank anxiety. My wife used to blow me the fuck up if she got in the car in the morning to go somewhere and the needle is on E. Or those days when you had a long day at work and just want to get home but have to stop for gas. Those situations never happen anymore. As long as you remember to plug in at home, the car's always ready to go.
  12. Yeah, 4 doors. People get confused a lot when I tell them I bought a "Mustang Mach E". They don't know what the hell that is and think I bought a pony car. I get why Ford used the Mustang branding, but it's dumb IMO. We like it a lot so far. Pros are that it's a ton of fun to drive, I like the styling a lot (matter of opinion), and the interior is comfortable and feels good quality. Cons are that the ride is pretty bumpy/stiff and the infotainment screen can be kind of laggy sometimes. I've already gotten used to and now really like the one-pedal driving. I can't really say on charging speed. It came with a 32A charger. I just plug it in when I get home from work and walk away and it's good to go in the morning. I have it set to stop charging at 80%. I want to say it takes maybe 6-ish hours to go from around 30% to 80%, but don't quote me on that. I think we could invest in a faster charger, but this setup works fine for me. Not sure yet on the cost, either. It has a 91 kWh pack. So if I'm charging 60%, that's about $6.50 at 12 cents/kWh. I haven't gotten an electric bill yet since I got the car.
  13. It's pure anecdote, but I feel like I've seen a lot more Ford, Chevy, Hyundai, Honda, etc EVs on the road lately. Maybe I'm just noticing more since I joined the EV club, but I feel like in the past a lot of those people would have been buying Teslas. Competition is good.
  14. That’s where I’m at. I don’t mind making the steroid guys wait a couple years as “punishment”, but the idea of never letting them in is fucking ridiculous. AFAIK, there’s no hard evidence that Rose bet against the Reds, but he definitely bet on them some games and not others. I think it might be different in my mind if he bet on them every night without fail. The steroids guys cheated to gain an advantage and that’s bad but ultimately a way different situation IMO.
  15. This kind of came out of left field for me. Turns out that baseball's unforgivable sin is actually forgivable...after you're dead. Personally I don't think they belong but I'm probably in the minority on that. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/45115659/pete-rose-shoeless-joe-jackson-players-reinstated-mlb
  16. I always appreciate the wheeling and dealing in these Surly leagues. I've been in other leagues in the past that went the whole year without any trades.
  17. It's a Select but it has the package that gives it a lot of the Premium features. Only things it really lacks are the glass roof and power liftgate. Extended battery, AWD. Ford is fucking proud of these things right now, I'll tell you that for free.
  18. I wonder who put the plaintiffs up to that. I kinda doubt that a random NYC bartender just woke up one morning and said to himself, "hey, I should sue Diageo". There's been significant drama in the tequila world lately. The Mexican government bitchslapped the additive free people. I really doubt they're behind this, though, unless they're just complete morons.
  19. The players started getting their piece of the pie, and we just can't fucking have that, can we? Agree that there is absolutely nothing that can come out of this that would be a net positive for Texas.
  20. Saw it tonight and liked it a lot. Like everyone keeps saying, the music and the cinematography are really top notch. It was definitely much more vampire-ish than I went in expecting. Wife was pissed because she knew nothing about it and horror’s not her thing. Hailee looks great. And yeah, surprising amount of cunnilingus for a vampire movie.
