  1. It's OK, I'll admit it: I have no fucking clue what a "1 play player" is. Is that a typo? Some sort of football hipster terminology I'm not familiar with?
  2. Me when anyone talks about how slow the season has been so far relative to forecasts:
  3. I know people feel some kind of way about Dak right now, but it's pretty fucking incredible that the Cowboys lucked into a very good QB with an UDFA signing, then when he broke down they immediately lucked into a very good replacement with a 4th round pick and yet....they haven't won jack shit over that time span.

Still way hotter than aggy’s cheerleaders
  6. I would add the caveat of if you can charge at home. It’s a much bigger deal for someone that can’t. For me, this is a big reason to be considering electric though. I can charge at home every night and I just need a commuter vehicle, so I’m like the poster boy for an EV customer right now. I actually had a Lyft ride in a Chevy Bolt the other day. Seemed like a nice little ride. Of course Chevy stopped making them.
  7. I’m sure aggy could have used his *checks notes* 3 catches for 15 yards this weekend. Guessing it came along with a great positive attitude as well.
  8. Why the fuck didn’t the networks line up a full slate of games today with no NFL? I know we’ve got USC-LSU tonight but what am I supposed to do until then? Spend time with my family???
  9. We have an embarrassment of riches at WR. Ryan Wingo is a grown ass man.
  10. GFS 06Z had it heading straight toward Brownsville, then turning right and moving up along the coast (but out at sea). We'd get wet but not much else I think. 12Z is running now, hasn't made it that far ahead yet. FWIW, 00Z run had landfall at Tampico and plowing straight west across Mexico. In other words, nobody knows shit.
  11. I'd say we're officially done at QB, RB, TE, and IOL. At OT, I'm hoping they stay on Fasusi and Rogers but we haven't seen much smoke there. They may be content. My guess is they'd take a WR that they feel can contribute if he falls into their lap, but they won't actively pursue anyone other than Moore. Definitely at least 1 more DT, hopefully 2. Seems like they'd take another EDGE if it's the right guy (Hilson). They want Faraimo but the question is do they pursue another LB if he pick Notre Dame. Maybe the other California guy if USC implodes? DB is a fucking mess and I have no idea. We've all been pearl clutching about DT, but I think DB is actually a bigger problem right now. Especially if Williams is a LB long term. And Terry, who supposedly will start at WR but I kinda don't buy that long term. 2 DT 1 EDGE 3 DB Terry That puts us at 26. Add Faraimo, Moore, or an OT if one of them wants to come. Subtract a DB if they just say fuck it we'll use the portal.
  12. I’m honestly surprised that no one has really tried to moneyball the QB position like this. Draft a steady stream of 3rd-5th rounders and sign cheap veterans to compete. Get 5 guys in camp and go with the one least likely to turn the ball over. You’ll go through some lean years but you’ll also hit the jackpot occasionally. The $40 million you save can go a long way toward the rest of the roster. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t, but the alternative is paying bums like Baker Mayfield $40m/year.
  13. Yeah well fuck you too
  14. Happy Ffrench Ffriday everybody
  15. Google turns up tons of articles about him entering the portal, but I also can't find a single one about him ending up somewhere. I checked all the rosters of the teams that were listed as interested at the time (Oregon, FSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, LSU) and didn't find him.
  16. It’s unfortunate because Tesla has the most mature product on the market by a mile and ultimately that’s what my concern boils down to. But I personally am not interested at this time. Like someone said, my impression is that Ford and Hyundai/Kia are next farthest along. The F-150 Lightning subreddit is full of people bitching about quality issues, though. Hyundai owners seem a little happier but I think they might still be in the honeymoon phase. If I were looking to lease a vehicle for 3 years and then swap it out for something new, it’s a different story entirely. That’s not how I like to use my vehicles though. I’m afraid I’m in the market about 5 years too early.
  17. 506 is great for NFL coverage maps as well. Weekly visit for this Cowboys fan living in Houston.
  18. True but supposedly Toyota has pretty much perfected the hybrid drivetrain because the Prius has been around so long. CR says hybrids in general (not specifically Toyotas or Camrys) are the most reliable, I think.
  19. Thread bump. We may be in the market for a new car soon. I'd really like to go electric if possible. My personal reasons go something like this 1) carbon footprint, 2) potentially less maintenance due to fewer moving parts, and 3) being a little fun to drive with instant torque. This would be purely a commuter car - 50 miles a day and charged every night at home. We have a gas SUV that will be our road trip vehicle for the foreseeable future. Fears about range and charging speed aren't a big deal to me. Not interested in Tesla at this time. Hyundai Ioniq 6 is what I've had my eye on the most but I haven't done a ton of research on what's out there. F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach E both have their appeal for different reasons. My big hang up is long-term reliability. When I buy a car, I want to drive it until the wheels fall off. A vehicle should last me at least 150k miles. The upside is that concerns about EV resale value don't bother me much. On the other hand, other than Tesla these are all brand new models (or brand new manufacturers like Polestar, etc) packed with brand new technology and that makes me very wary. From what little reading I've done, seems like concerns about the battery pack lifetime are overblown, but it's all the other electronics that worry me. I'd love to hear some thoughts from EV drivers, or others who have looked into it. Should I just buy a hybrid Camry and forget it?
  20. In today’s edition of “tokamak is old”, I’ve heard of about 5 of those. I have any interest whatsoever in about 3 of them.
  21. Panthers cut both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Smith today. Cutting stars like that is why they're the worst team in the league.
  22. Browns surprisingly cut D'Onta Foreman
  23. Only former Longhorns I'm seeing that have been cut so far are Malik Jefferson and Tarik Black. I'm sure there will be a couple others.
