  1. This dude's highlights are pretty fun. In the very first play I thought he was definitely about to get tackled 4 different times...nope. Third play is a kick return and he jukes the kicker without breaking stride or slowing down by even 1%. We really have a thing this year for dudes whose position could be listed as "Yes". edit: adding link to the hudl: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/18310068/66f312aa0f15104394993bac
  2. I think Apple has lost the plot. Their big selling point used to be that their shit just works. My wife just got a new phone and it's been nothing but a headache. Transferring from the old phone, re-setting up our kid's watch, and re-connecting it to our HomePods were all giant fucking hassles requiring hours of her time. We ended up giving up and connecting the watch to my phone, and hard resetting our HomePods to start from scratch. I also just took my phone in to get the battery replaced and the Apple Store experience is such a fucking beating. Make an appointment and you still sit around waiting. Then the girl put a hard sell on me to buy iCloud to backup because "replacing the battery might erase all the data". Fucking how is that possible? Just put in the goddamn battery, stop trying to sell me shit I don't want or need. We bought my mom a watch and you have to wait around for 20 minutes for the privilege of someone acknowledging you and taking your money. That said, Google and Microsoft are privacy dumpster fires, and Windows 11 is a disaster, so it's not like we have anywhere to go.
  3. Sure the White Sox aren’t good, but they do have actual human adult males that can throw pitches in the vicinity of home plate. That kind of advantage makes it almost impossible for the Rangers to score on them. Just a bad matchup for us, really.
  4. Absolutely disgusting. What kind exactly?
  5. we've wasted sooooooooooooo many good starts
  6. What a fucking beating this team is
  7. This one, too. Just Joey going off for 5 minutes
  8. We're not far at all from articles with titles like "Would Texas's freshman class be a playoff contender on its own?"
  9. I have too many players on my roster after these trades. I want to trade Pfaadt + a bat for a better bat. Does anyone have a need for that?
  10. "[P]ublic trust in vaccination in general has declined" (largely due to the efforts of our boss).....therefore, we're removing authorization of a proven safe vaccine. Makes total sense.
  11. Arches at a distance have every playmaker's wish on board
  12. Who are y’all using for airport transfers in CUN these days?
  13. Can't hit lefties and can't stay healthy, so he's not gonna end up the player we all hoped for. Fourth outfielder/quad-A type for the next few years while he's cheap and then cut him loose. Sometimes that's just the way it goes.
  14. "Build an entire program out of D1 spare parts and castoffs" is quite the strategy. We'll see how it works out.
  15. Going back through the thread, the story on Riley is that Joseph and Gideon weren't all that interested, but Akina and Hudson really like him. Does seem like a guy that you could let it play out a little bit before taking the commitment. Whatevs.
  16. He won't be a free agent until after the 2028 season. Arbitration eligible starting after this year. Agree that it would be smart to buy out his arbitration years and lock him up on a reasonable deal until his early-mid 30s. A guy that can OPS 750ish and play good defense all over the field is very valuable.
  17. How fucking ragey would we be if we weren’t winning??
  18. I like OT just fine but that is not his best work IMO
  19. Proton has a sale right now. I think it’s like 80 bucks for two years. Timing is coincidental I’m sure.
  20. I want to drop this bum Sonny Gray so bad. But I know that as soon as I do, one of y’all will scoop him up and he’ll pitch to like a 2.75 ERA for the rest of the season.
  21. We also drove and really liked the Ioniq 5. Much nicer ride than the Mach E. What kind of scared me off the Hyundai was that our local dealer was a total shitshow. Bunch of clowns. That kind of turned us toward Ford but I think the Ioniq 5 is a great car. At 80% charge, our extended range Mach E tells me I have 220 miles to work with. At 100%, it's about 300. I just don't go up that high because I don't need to and they say keeping it at 80-90 is better for the battery long term. One really underrated aspect of EV ownership I've found so far (if you can charge at home like we can) is no more gas tank anxiety. My wife used to blow me the fuck up if she got in the car in the morning to go somewhere and the needle is on E. Or those days when you had a long day at work and just want to get home but have to stop for gas. Those situations never happen anymore. As long as you remember to plug in at home, the car's always ready to go.
