  1. Making this today. To say I’m excited is an understatement… pre tamales and bake:
  2. https://howtobbqright.com/2020/11/14/classic-thanksgiving-turkey-recipe/ im going to follow this recipe mostly, but with some adjustments like putting it in the pan and adding butter on top rather than basting. Basically what JC mentioned above. He goes 3.5 hours at 325 uncovered the whole time for a 16#
  3. UL’s AD seems to think Napier is leaving for Florida, as of yesterday.
  4. My in-laws are big UL people. The AD texted my FIL yesterday and it sounds like he basically told him he expected him to leave for UF.
  5. https://babyshusher.com We use a Hatch white noise machine for sleep and naps, but honestly this thing is a life saver when trying to just get him to fall asleep or calm down. Works well for taking in the stroller, car, etc too. Also can look into a Rhome portable white noise machine, admittedly much less annoying sounding than the shusher. some attachments for your stroller… we got a little caddy to keep phones/sunglasses/whatever, a portable fan for him, and a cup holder. electric nail filer
  6. Potato potato and I’ve had some wine tonight. Fair. I’m a little on edge for spending too much time on the football board.
  7. My dude, we have a loooong way to go before we ever reach peak Charlie levels of offensive ineptitude. Regarding special teams, we’ve had some stupid miscues not kneeling kickoffs for sure, but you don’t lead the country in blocked punts just by luck.
  8. I mean, i get that it is what it is and I also understand if you don’t watch the games or anything, but the amount of drops or missed throws on open plays is the most frustrating thing to take away here, IMO. it’s not like he’s running 3 yards and a cloud of dust or something, but you just keep being you.
  9. I’ve seen a few posts mention BJ. The Thompson issue seems to have been covered, but what’s the deal with BJ?
  10. If I put a pan under my turkey in my Kamado would there be enough drippings to make gravy with? I’ve only roasted turkeys before
  11. Any thoughts on the need to brine a frozen/solution injected butterball? Was planning on it originally but second guessing myself now.
  12. What did you do on your Kamado heat/time wise?
  13. Gonna need someone to learn me on smoking a turkey on one of these bad boys. Cooking my first whole turkey, and my in laws will be joining, so obviously I don’t want to fuck it up. I have a 16# bird. So far I’ve gathered that smoking at 300 may be the best option as going 225 would take forever, but I am open to any and all methods and tips. I plan to do a wet brine before, so really just needing cooking tips here.
  14. I actually did this on Sunday just for the hell of it. Did the same as you, treated like brisket and it was on the smoker for right around 6 hours. Came out better than I thought it would.
  15. I wanted to see what a smoked chuck roast would be like. Wife was out of town so it was something I could throw out if it was awful but it was surprisingly pretty good. Budget brisket flat.
  16. Does anyone have a red zone stream?
  17. LSU is going to offer jimbo 12mil per year - if he takes that Elko is available anyway
  18. This is borderline erotic.
  19. Aside from immediate PT, this needs to be our strategy going forward:
  20. Like it fucking matters
  21. Never been so I’m talking out of my ass a little, but there are a lot of cool restaurants to choose from that would impress a 23 year old girl. Churrascos may be on that list too but again I dunno never been. Rainbow lodge is another spot I like to hit every once in a while - kindof an exotic menu but it’s unique and I haven’t ever had a bad meal there. Nice wine list and drinks as well. No idea what your general type of go-tos would be though so YMMV
  22. Hugo’s is a favorite of mine. You can hit up anvil first and walk over when it’s time for your reservation.
  23. Even with just a six week old, a lot of fucking truth in there. Especially about them being a new baby every day. We aren’t doing the snoo, and while I’m sure it would’ve been great to get some easier sleep for us early on, I’m glad we won’t have to do any weaning off it later. One thing I’d recommend for anyone is to buy the Taking Cara Babies class… she’s some sleep consultant but she has an online course that walks through getting them to sleep, strategies for fussy babies, and plans for how to extend their sleeping window week by week. We’re at 5.5 weeks and we’ve hit 5-6 hours of sleep a couple of times which is pretty awesome and basically what her schedule tries to get (1 hour of continuous sleep per week after 4 weeks). Your wives will probably get more out of it than y’all but mine has rewatched some of the videos and picked up new tips that have seemed to help. We watched it before having the baby and there’s a little more relevant context after you’ve got a little experience. also, Cara could get it. Crazy eyes and all.
