  1. Fuck off, Troll. (I guess it isn't so difficult after all)
  2. Could someone write up a sock-to-troll primer/flow chart? I can't keep up anymore.
  3. AISD raising substitute pay. Good for the people that are subbing, but I don't know that more money will really get many more people. Subbing is one of things that everyone thinks they can do... until they actually do it. I don't know if there's enough money to throw at this problem. https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/austin-isd-to-implement-substitute-pay-increase-beginning-next-week
  4. About as likely as guessing that he'd be an alt-right darling.
  5. That's future State Senator Turd-in-the-punch-bowl to you, sir.
  6. He's never going to fuck you. Your devotion to him is sad.
  7. Yeah, I thought that was Craig James.
  8. It's like watching George McFly do a Crispin Glover impression, except more awkward... and drunk. Was there a Parkinson's diagnosis I don't know about?
  9. Woah.[emoji15]
  10. What a fucking manlet. That suit makes him looks like 3 pounds of shit swimming in a 10 pound sack.
  11. Bobby Hill is one of the best animated humans I can think of. Kind. Resourceful. Funny. We should be so lucky. If I see you in the streets, I'm kicking you square in the nuts. "That's my purse!"
  12. I'm aware of this, you're probably correct about this being what I'm looking for/needing My Holiday Inn Express expertise says this is likely. I'm in Round Rock.
  13. Sorry if this has been covered earlier in the thread, but it's a long thread and figured I'd just ask and hopefully someone will feel kind enough to reply. Having some anxiety issues related to work. Finally ready to talk to a professional about getting a plan to deal with them. It's not an emergency-type situation, so I don't need to call anyone right now, but it is overdue. Question: How do I even get started? How do I find a therapist? Do I need to contact HR to see if there are in-network therapists that my health insurance will help pay for? Any help is appreciated. TIA
  14. I got a bigger laugh out the person unironically asking for low carb options...
  15. If only it were possible to understand, and even be sympathetic to, the position he was in, and still think him a traitor. Nah, that's too much for my Southern Pride to rationalize. We better put some statues in the center of town.
  16. Cracka-ass Crackas attacking the Capitol.
  17. They should name that hallway after him... Goodman Hall
  18. I could see any of them could doing it. Cruz is the only one that actually knows better, but it'll be awesome watching him awkwardly say it hoping to look "cool", but failing so miserably.
  19. I predict... 1) "Let's Go Brandon" will still be a thing 2) Someone who should know better will say it... loudly.
  20. Wanna guess how many "concerned" parent phone calls I've gotten because I'm trying to indoctrinate kids by showing CNN10 in class? (It's more than one)
  21. Reminiscent...
  22. Thre problem I've always had here is that nobody ever wanted to set metrics that would trigger a response. Even in March 2020, I was asking, "Okay, so when do we call it safe to return?"... crickets When we returned in August I asked, "Okay, so when do we say it's time to lock it down again?"... crickets. Fuck.
  23. And these will be the first people bitching about virtual learning or how their kid's education is suffering. This virus feeds on ignorance and selfishness.
  24. All of this is correct, but I find it odd that people are bringing up virtual school as a response to Omicron as protection for children. I've not heard anyone in education mention it much less promote it... it's a red herring. Now, you do need to worry about virtual school as a response to teacher absences because that is a bubble that I'm convinced is going to pop. Your kids' teachers are going to get Omicron, and considering how few subs there are in the systems, schools cannot afford to lose teachers. My campus is already starting out the semester with teachers out (in addition to the vacant positions that have been taught by subs most of ther year). Campuses are having to get creative to find coverage. Pulling the EA from my room is a regular occurrence... that means SpEd and 504 kids don't get the services they're due. It's wrong, but the campus is left with no other option. So, if you want schools to stay open, you better also advocate for kids to be vaccinated and masks to be worn. Not for the kids, but for the teachers.
