  1. Nothing exaggerated… Other than when he said “Ewers can use his legs…”, that part was funny. If our OL blocks like they did against Georgia… in Austin, then things could get dicey. South Carolina has a much better running game (QB& RBs) than we do right now. It would be nice if our OL and speed RB collectively pulled their heads out of their asses.
  2. We have absolutely gotten lucky on the ridiculous number of backup QBs that we have faced the last season and a half. And now we get to face Florida’s 3rd string redshirt freshman transfer QB. If that wasn’t the first thing that you thought about when DJ grabbed his hammy, then you must be new to following Texas football.
  3. Considering the southern end zone remodel/build out was completed just before this season and this is the 2nd sell out in a row, but this is a much better matchup and I was told that it was SMU’s homecoming (whatever that means in college), so I absolutely think that tonight is an attendance record for this stadium.
  4. You obviously weren’t paying attention to NIL fund raising that was announced a week after SMU’s move to the ACC was announced.
  5. I like you as a poster, but growing up in Dallas, SMU was my first favorite college team. Had the SMU knit cap for the winter and my brother had the UT knit cap. I was looking for anyone to go to the game, but friends were out of town, had charity events, had a wedding in Fort Worth, or at home due to illness/high school kids homecoming bullshit. But all sounds good. Moving fingers & toes. 👍 🙏
  6. 1) Yes 2) I think that collar bones heal in about 8 weeks*. Spring baseball won’t start for at leas 9 weeks and up to about 11 or 13. *I’m not a doctor, or have I broken a collar bone.
  7. My trip before this, I was returning to Dallas from NYC (may have flown with a layover) and I hadn’t eaten, so I ordered fruit plate plus the cheese & crackers. Tried to pay with my phone and the stewardess acted like she was going to try to use the tap and then said “Our machine is broken, it’s on us.” I am not strikingly good looking nor appear to be wealthy (though I do have excellent grammar), but that happens to me about 20% of my flights. 🤷‍♂️
  8. Flew DFW to Maui on Sunday. My sister was flying 1st class and I was in plebeian coach. My sister was allowed in the Flagship Admiral’s Club, but to bring me in we would have to go to the regular Admiral’s Club. I asked if the food was better in Flagship and the lady said that she couldn’t say one way or another, which I said “Means ‘Yes!’.” I told her to eat up and I would wait downstairs. The lady saw that my sister’s birthday was on Monday (today), so she came after us. Score we could get to the elevator and dragged us into the flagship lounge where I had a nice breakfast. Then I got three seats across in the middle 3 seat section and was able to lie flat and sleep for about 4 hours. Along the way, my sister brought a blanket from first class and covered me with it. Then AA arrange for this sunset my first night ever in Hawaii. Thanks American!
  9. Dodger fans know how to celebrate. https://x.com/_ed87_/status/1850211204444389536?s=46 Tweeter won’t allow this tweet to be embedded.
  10. It was holding and then PI. I went back and watched and the SMU defender started holding the Duke receiver at least 6 steps before the ball passed by the players. So the defender was holding for at least 3 steps before Murphy threw the ball, when the holding would have turned into PI. Duke was so royally screwed.
  11. Having lived in LA for about 10 of the last 26 years, I loved this line: ”a 5-year-old Freddie in the backyard some 45 minutes away on The 5, depending on traffic.” 😂
  12. 👆 For all of the NEW YORK YANKEES fans. 👇 For all of the LA DODGERS fans.
  13. I took some UCLA Extension courses, so I consider UCLA my California school. And the Dodgers became my National League team when they traded Raul Mondesi’s loafing ass and picked up Shawn Greene. As a UCLA Bruin & Dodger fan, it is nice to have seen the Dodgers win the Series in Arlington during COVID, then to finally have the Rangers win a series last year, and then BAM, the Dodgers looking like they want their fans to share their run this year.
  14. They’re always cousins.
  15. He’s shaking in his boots. < < 🥾🥾 > > 👀
  16. Saw this photo on the interwebs from probably 1983-‘85. Note: MJF is short.
  17. Anyone made this is the past? Could be a nice addition to the holiday menu.
  18. There was no note regarding pistachio green pants and a Harrison knockoff. What I have read is that the last round of the Harrison’s was fairly heavy (I think > 8.5 lbs) and someone else wrote that it looks a bit fake up close. You’re not going to think that it’s solid rosewood, but… They are in signature knockoff territory these days. This was someone’s signature guitar… It came and went in a few hours, though they sometimes hold some back until the next day (~4am Central Time) to put some more out so that someone doesn’t buy 10+ and then sell them on eBay They also have some red striped things near the Harrison
  19. Slight hiccup… Connections Puzzle #501 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟪🟪🟪🟪 🟦🟩🟦🟦 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟩🟩🟩🟩
  20. Speaking of Teles, the old fellers at Firefly have been slowly improving their knockoffs. This is the second round of this George Harrison rosewood Tele that they’ve done. The body has a rosewood veneer (likely) of manmade rosewood from real stuff & glue. Here’s the link, though they may sell out soon. There isn’t any tax, but shipping is ~$27 for their guitars from the LA area to anywhere in the continental 🇺🇸 only. https://guitarsgarden.com/products/firefly-fftl-classic-model-electric-guitars-rosewood-color
  21. I have run in that stadium before. Doing the steps in the bleachers is a quick reminder that California is far and away the best state in the continental US. And the weather… Expensive, but fucking amazing! ❤️

I dated Pittsburgh lady and I was just showing off the fact that I knew that vocabulary word. (She did not have a Yinzer accent.) Actually, I didn’t encounter that accent in Mount Lebanon, but have found the “milk & bread” (“bread & milk”?) video shorts to be quite amusing. And I have a greater fondness for The Steelers than I did growing up in Dallas in the ‘70s. PS- And I love the airport.

Croatian? Hershey dialect of yinzer? He did have an Italian nonna, so maybe he was exposed enough at a young age that he could already detect the separation of words before he got with a smoking hot tutor.
  24. Looks just like Palisades Park in Santa Monica (LA, CA) overlooking the S.M. Bay. 👀 Also bumping this, because it appears that I will be headed to Maui next Sunday through Wednesday evening. I have never been to Hawaii, but I am absolutely NOT going to a Luau. (I’m sure that they are as authentic as a tango show in Buenos Aires.) No idea where I’m staying. My sister is bringing me along because I helped her out a couple of times this year and our birthdays are 2 days apart. She’s been before, so I will defer to her. Maybe I will rent a surfboard for a couple of hours at a crowded touristy beach that good surfers avoid. 🤷‍♂️ 🌊🏄‍♂️🌴🍹📕🐠🍣🍤

If you got me a hot tutor, I could speak that well in 6 months… 🤌 🤌 🤌 🇮🇹🍷🍕 …largely because it is so close to Spanish, but also because “horizontal lessons” are a great way to learn a language*. *I have heard, but my Argie novia always spoke English with me, unless she was pissed off. Then I was just trying to decipher a word that I could try to translate in my head. My Spanish was still practically non-existent when we were together. 🤷‍♂️ But I do try to decipher my Italian amiga’s posts before translating them. Frequently most of a sentence is just tweaked Spanish.
