  1. Aaronson was so much better last night than he has ever been. He plateaued and was definitely a candidate for a “Brenden Aaronson is not our standard!” flyover banner for the last 18 to 24 months, but last night he showed awareness, composure, and decisiveness at a level that we’ve never seen before. The way he worked the Aussie defender into opening up so that he could send in a perfect nutmeg pass to Luna (that Diego didn’t life over the keeper for a sure goal) will sit with me for a while. That was Pulisic “feelin’ it” / “feelin’ himself” level bossing it in the final third. Don’t know if we saw a one-off exceptional Brenden or if that is just his new level, but he was very impressive.
  2. Saban retired in part because he knew that the Alabama’s alums couldn’t compete with other alumni bases when paying players became legal. Penn State alumna could buy Alabama alums many times over. If Saban came back out of retirement, he would have a bank roll to compete with any college in the country. Don’t think that he will un-retire, but he could win a national championship in Happy Valley.
  3. Last guy?… Jaydon Blue He actually played for the Longhorns this calendar year. Did you have a stroke this week?
  4. Even Aaronson looked good today. Not just some little brother running around like a chicken with his head cut off. In general, everyone looked pretty good.
  5. Balogun looked to pull out the defenders so that Luna could hit is wide. FUCK! Aaronson’s nutmeg assist attempt to Luna was absolutely beautiful. If Luna had just chipped the keeper!!
  6. Haji booking his spot on the team. That was beee-u-tee-ful! The director in the truck didn’t want to show the fast break, but finally decided to show the action. Haji has a lightning’s quick right-footed toe-poke and a beautiful curler with the left. The color guy is singing Roldan’s praises and seems to have completely forgotten his getting mowed down for the Aussie goal.
  7. Yep. And like Marion Barber III, I doubt that he makes it to 40.
  8. DaMarcus Beasley- “You knocked down one of our players, but it’s not going to happen twice.” Narrator- “It happened twice.”
  9. No question that both should have been yellows with a warning that the next player on Australia that pulls that shit is going to get a straight red card.
  10. Sands playing the ball back when Weah wanted to play a give-and-go was not ideal. EDIT: Roldan is dangerous tonight. (For BOTH teams!)
  11. Chris Richards started the play and Roldan had the assist. Haji going on a hajj of his own! Neck-less Wonder on the corner! Pretty good service.
  12. They call our midfield “The C-Suite”.
  13. USA defenders
  14. Traffic cone defense! Was Roldan the guy who got mowed down?
  15. C’est vrai! / Es verdad.
  16. This ref does not respek’ Haji.
  17. Sands is much improved since going to Germany. Freeman shows potential. McKenzie is meth (FIFY) & Haji only plays well with Christian, but not every time he plays with Christian.
  18. ¡Vamos a jugar un clásico contra Australia! …¿no? ¡Van a estar docenas de hinchas en el estadio! Puede ser cientos!
  19. We have a proven track record of recruiting running backs who fumble. It is crazy how we are able to identify, recruit, and sign running backs who can carry on the tradition.
  20. (1) ✅ 2023, 2024, 2025 (2) ❌ : 3 years ago, 2022, he was in high school. (3) Texas vs Washington, January 1st, 2024 (Less than two years ago, but two seasons ago) . . . Baxter fumbled. Apparently he was having a good game, but I only remember his fumbling away the game. 9 carries, 64 yards 1 TD 2 receptions, 39 yards 1 Fumble: 2nd play of the drive after Washington went up 28-21, Baxter fumbled. Washington scored a FG and then Texas went 3 and out. After fumbling, Baxter had one more touch for the rest of the 2nd half. A 3 yard run. Perhaps I would have remembered his running if he hadn’t fumbled away our season.
  21. It has been mentioned, but there should be a stat of average negative yards the Longhorns give up when nobler doesn’t just fair catch the ball. Ummm… Cedric Baxter was a high school senior 3 years ago and I think that he was injured for a large part of that season. Baxter was injured almost his entire freshman season, but played and was largely ineffective. Baxter was injured all last season. Baxter has been largely ineffective since trying to return from injury this season. There may be a theme here.
  22. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46583863/titans-fire-coach-brian-callahan-1-5-start-2025 GUNNAR HELM SHOULD STARTS!!
  23. +1 rep for using the adverb. It is so refreshing to see. 🙏 1) I had never heard of RJ Young. 2) As soon as the video started with fake laughter for more than 1/2 of a second, I moved forward 4 to 5 minutes. 3) After 2 seconds, I hit stop and clicked to see how many views his site has received. Surprisingly he has accumulated nearly 50 million views. I don’t know how these people are so bad at what they do and yet can make a living from producing scripted & poorly acted crap, but it beats working. I don’t like to stereotype, but I’m really fucking good at it. From the first time I saw a still image of Conner Stroh, I felt that he was being recruited because we couldn’t get tackling dummies that big from the walk-on market, but that he would never be able to move quickly enough and with enough balance to be anything other than a practice player. Unfortunately #1: I was 100% correct. Unfortunately #2: The coaches aren’t as good at stereotyping as I am. As I always say, I’m sure that Conner is giving it his best effort and is a wonderful guy, but he is just not now, nor do so believe will ever be, good enough to play at this level.
