  1. This here, this right here is the correct answer. Man propaganda really works. We have been beat into submission that no one can go toe to toe with those guys. When in reality let us play and find out. If Sam is healthy, and to me the most important part of the game. They will have to adjust away from what they feel most comfortable doing on defense. They will be forced to drop LB’s in coverage, play man, and gamble that Sam doesn’t take off running. Something they only had to do once...and that was this weekend. Jalen Hurts isn’t Superman. But his ass can run and throw. And he showed Texas the blueprint to what happens when the Georgia LB’s are forced to think, adjust and make the play. And not just attack the LOS to stop the run ala’ Kentucky. This weekend they failed miserably at doing that. In fact, it looked a lot like a big 12 game they way Alabama stormed back. Though no one in the media will acknowledge that. Combined with the vertical style of their D-Linemen. Who are coached to go balls out to the QB because against the offenses they faced this year there was little fear of a quick accurate passing attack. They will now be required to analyze the play. And play defense just like we do and dance horizontally with the O-Linemen until they sniff out the play. If they don’t do that draws, traps and misdirection plays will give Texas a huge opportunity to use their very strength against them.
  2. Depends. As has already been pointed out. By midway through the second quarter Ruffin had already tossed his scheme and went back to running Mike’s 4-3 defense. But, If you use the score, regardless of how you feel about penalties. Ruffin managed to limit Texas to a little more then half of what Mike did in Dallas. If you use individual performance. Well, that too favors Ruffin as LJH, who will excel at the next level didn’t have the same game or impact he did in October. OU instead felt that he was the bigger of the two receivers they absolutely had to double. Leaving Johnson to get more YPC, but isn’t as much of a take it to the house threat LJH is. If you use rushing yards, well 88 is far less then 177. And probably the un-talked about difference in the game. Then too, If you use luck. Well, that too favors Ruffin. Because it was pure fucking luck Sam missed those two wide fucking open receivers at the beginning of the game that would have given Texas a 21-6 lead. And none of that takes into account Po’s take up thread on Herman going for it at the end of the first half. That many, including myself believe to have been a 14 point swing.
  3. I have to agree with that bolded part, though I understand that in real time Herman probably felt his chances were pretty good that they wouldn’t be able to drive the field and score. But in hindsight I agree 100% that was a 14 swing.
  4. Fuck you they didn’t care. That is the same fucking song they already have queued up for Texas Georgia. Nick Saban has never played a game his entire life that he or his team didn’t care about. Saban without asking has people like Finebaum inject shit like that into the conversation after they got humiliated on national television. After which they had to spend the better part of a week explaining how a team that seemed as though every single talking head said they would bet their house on...........lost. A result Stoops called by the way. Then watching Finebaum get dressed down by every single ESPN anchor including Stoops, was great TV. Say what you want about Stoops but he stood his fucking ground on that SEC bullshit and that single game could have killed him. Unfortunately what it did do was wake Saban up to accept the idea to stop bitching about HUO and get a passing game, which he did as he hasn’t missed the playoffs since that loss to OU. But didn’t care? My ass.
  5. Ah, fuck it. I’ll laugh at who I want. I’m old enough to bend the narrative to fit my agenda.
  6. I moved from Texas long before the internet so I really don’t know this Liucci guy. But, is this goofy bastard missing a chromosome or two? And how did he become the aggy mouthpiece? Does texag receive compensation from aggy for allowing this idiot to patrol the inter webs looking for any aggy slight? Because he sure shows up a lot trying to sell aggy as something they are not.
  7. Tomlin gets a pass a lot of other head coaches would never get. I don’t like em, but Pittsburgh is and has been a damn good team. Yet year after year since that last Super Bowl we hear more about their locker room then we do about their play, or lack of it. That is on Tomlin.
  8. You know, you are absolutely correct. But they were better in January of 2014 as well and yet they still lost....to Trevor? Then there is something to be made of familiarity. Texas knows OU better then any other school. A lot of the players from the two teams have known each other long before they played at their respective schools. And why conference games in general can be so difficult. So it won’t surprise me if Alabama wins by 30, or if OU figures out some way to beat them. What I do believe is if Alabama doesn’t put them away quickly, and the game progresses allowing OU to stay within a couple of scores and allows OU to realize they are still in the game. Then I believe that situation favors OU. Especially if they are using PAC 12 Referees.
  9. As I have already posted. Though you very well may correct. It will also be interesting watching defensive linemen who seldom roam farther then 10 yards from where they go into their stance. To now go 80 plays and run constantly chasing his ass. Oh, I also have one of the original lithographs of your Avatar which Steve Steigman signed for me at the audiophile convention in Dallas in 79. It was part of a Maxell deal Teac had with them in the late 70’s promoting their reel to reel products. Even my grand kids recognize it.
  10. That would be different. And you are obviously unaware of the NFL prescreen evaluation addressing players quitting on their team. A criteria that carries with it a point value. If they shut down too early they receive an unsatisfactory mark in that category. A single game, or an injury like Bosa gets them a pass.
  11. I feel the same. It is nothing more then theater to put cash in the Bowl game coffers that the players never see. If the games actually meant something I think the players, as well as us the fans would look at it somewhat differently. If you notice at least as of this hour not a word out of the four in the playoff dealing with early departures, all of which have players that will play on Sunday. That is unless I missed something?
  12. I went once with my father (class of 46). Sadly far to many years past his prime, and it was a last second decision to make the trip and go. Part of the old try and catch up on the shit that you missed as a kid because your old man was a professional soldier. And though I have been to many different college campuses during my lifetime of watching college football. That game feels so much different. It made me think that is how it must have originally been meant to be played. It has a very nostalgic feel to it. And if you like the sport you will enjoy that game even if you don’t necessarily have a tie to either squad.
  13. That is the worst possible draw..,fucking Missouri? People from Missouri hate Missouri? They are tweeners, not southern, not northern just sort of in between. Like one big septic tank field.
  14. The thread is about Orlando. I am simply saying that singling out Orlando is silly in of by itself. If you played ball at this level you would know what happens on Tuesday, Wednesday and usually a half day on Thursday. And the role the DC has during that time frame. Who he speaks with, what his expectations are. Football at this level is a job for not only the coaches, but the players as well. Any criticism of a specific coordinator carries with it criticism of the head coach who signed off on the game plan and the individual performance of those selected to start. Which is a really big deal to those who never get to see their name on the board.
  15. That ain’t whispering you’re hearing. That is the flap of an envelope being opened and stuffed with cash from an agent.
  16. So Aaron wins the “Who is in charge” tug of war. No surprise really.
  17. OU will lose, but Riley is going to get a lot of mileage recruiting off of it. Especially if the midget lands the Heisman. Which is what I fear that the most. Every hot shot QB who believes they have a shot at the next level will give them at the very least a look. Same with Receivers, though there are more of those to go around. If Riley somehow finds another QB that puts up numbers similar to Baker and Murray I’m going to concede he knows a thing or two about developing a quarterback.
  18. Circumstantial tiebreakers brought the lutz for me. Without those pesky fuckers they would have went from 7th to 3rd. Much like having a complete set of chromosomes that gets you from retard to functional.
  19. Ok, who lost their sock?
  20. Meh, they typically struggle facing a QB who can throw. And really have problems facing one who can run AND throw. Stat building against Middle Tennessee State, Austin Peay and UMass doesn’t intimidate me. Nor does beating South Carolina, Vanderbilt or Georgia Tech. We too would have some gaudy numbers facing those same teams. And we too have athletic players. So it comes down to Sam’s health. If Sam is healthy they do not have a 14 point advantage. Besides, 14 is fucking ridiculous.
  21. Getting mine through a friend in the Georgia alumni group located here in Augusta. Which surprisingly are usually pretty good seats for any Georgia game. But I’m just asking for a single seat, which will be dead in the middle of those nut sniffers.
  22. Well, I can’t speak for the team. But I’m part of the motor home brigade that is planning to be there if everything works out. And I can tell you that of the 14 motor homes in the ol’ convoy. I’m the only Texas guy in that entire group. However, surprisingly they actually are all keeping their talk somewhat tempered? Which anyone who knows their fan base knows that is a bit unusual. It could be Alabama hang over. Or maybe there is a little concern matching up against us. Either way, it would be a glorious ride home with a win.
  23. Yes, yes she is.
  24. He sure left it better then he found it.
  25. Michigan at 7? Florida at 10? LSU at 11 aggy at, fuck they shouldn’t be ranked? I would take even money against any of those tomato cans.
