  2. No water test, but I've talked to enough people/researched enough that I'm comfortable picking it up. If it doesn't work out, the used market for them is fairly resilient (almost non-existent) and can probably get out of it for a minimal loss.
  3. Update for anyone who’s interested. I ended up buying a 2023 Shallow Sport X3 25. I managed to find one that someone had ordered and decided he didn’t want. Dealer was taking possession end of last week. According to all the dealers I talked to, they’re running about a year out if you were to order one today, so I feel fairly lucky to have been in the right place at the right time. It even managed to be pretty much the same color scheme I would have ordered anyway. I should be picking it up next weekend. So freaking stoked!
  4. True, but fishing for sport rarely makes any sort of economic sense. And I’d have to run two guides any time I took the fam fishing.
  5. Wow, that’s a great looking boat! Thanks for sending. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks. Any chance you could send the FB link if you have spare time? Just took a quick look and couldn’t find it. Much appreciated!
  7. Looking to upgrade the sled. We’re currently in a Majek 20V that we bought new around 20 years ago. I’ve got a mess of kids and I’m looking for something a bit bigger. I’m currently thinking about the following primarily: Shallow Sport X3 25 SCB R24 Simmons Rev 25 Anyone have any experience with the boats listed above and or have any other similar suggestions I’m missing? We mostly fish out of Aransas Pass, relatively close to home. Thanks in advance.
  8. Sold 2H bbls today >$96 deferred premium put. Can’t believe it.
  9. Also going to be in Telluride for a few days. Probably better prospects there?
  10. Any recs for a guide/outfitter in Jackson, WY? I want to take my two boys (11 & 9) on a half day trip so the can try fly fishing. They’re both great with a spinning rod, but fly will be a new thing for them. Would prefer to wade/walk versus float. TIA.
  11. We’re getting pretty close to Ben’s 5th birthday. This kid continues to kick ass. We’ve spent the last school year going to school every day, sometimes for a full day, but most frequently for a half day due to various therapies. This kid continues to slay me: World Down Syndrome Day (3/21) Can’t believe this kiddo is getting so big, and he’s so tough. It’s amazing to see him start making friends at school and see other kids excited to be around him. We’re truly grateful for our community and supporting friends and family. As always, happy to answer any questions or help out if anyone is going through a similar situation.
  12. I know this is a bit off topic, but the “Smartless” podcast with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes is absolutely hilarious. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Pepperoni, Italian sausage and fresh japs. Sub green pepper for the japs if you have friends that are adverse to delicious stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. To be fair, that pizza #8 on three separate cooks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Got an ooni a few weeks ago. First attempt was a colossal cluster, but getting the hang of it.
  16. Strategic Popularity Reserves. Doubtful it works. From Trafigura this AM on Bloomberg or the myth of a million barrels a day from the SPR The logistics have never been tested to pump a million barrels a day from the SPR - max has been 500,000 day. The Jones Act requires goods shipped between U.S. ports to be transported on ships that are built, owned, and operated by United States citizens or permanent residents. Due to limited ships that qualify, few barrels will go to the US refiners. The re-configuration of shipping could increase the price of crude delivered to the US. You’re sending a signal to producers that by releasing the oil we’re bringing prices down and that’s going to dis-incentivize that investment that we need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Hearing pipe is going to be in tight supply 2H this year, to the tune of “doesn’t matter if you have a rig lined up and a frac scheduled, if you can’t get intermediate none of it matters” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. I fully expect to be doing a lot of traveling and/or have multiple properties with taxes to go with them. We have 4 kids, and the youngest will most likely be living with us for his entire life, so that increases many of our expenses by 50% at least. I think I’ll probably need $250k post tax income/year in “retirement.” My goal is to build as much passive income as possible over the next 10 years. I don’t ever see myself being fully retired, as I enjoy what I do too much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Jesus Christ, I guess most of y’all never want to have fun once you’re done working? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Interesting chart from Doomberg. Explains how we’ve been able to keep production up despite the reduction in active rigs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
