  1. Yes! Because it worked last year. For all Xmans abilities once the ball is in his hands he is actually pretty easy to push around, and doesn't fight for the ball in the air. So TCU enacted the same plan they had last year it's just they didn't calculate the AD problem and also now we do a better job of getting X the ball in the quick game.
  2. That was a back shoulder fade. You can throw them with air or with pace like Aaron Rodgers does. You throw the ball short and to the outside and let the receiver adjust to the ball. Ball is perfect for when the receiver has coverage over top. In this case the safety is coming over just like on the INT. If Ewers throws this out in front it is either picked or AD gets hit and likely drops. AD stumbles to the ground but this is how its supposed to look from a receiver standpoint.
  3. He was trying to hurt him Burnt. You can see how hard he is flexing when he is twisting him. We can agree it is part of the game put that was def on purpose. It's like how there is a regular tackle and a Dallas Turner tackle, where you pull them in by the waist as hard as you can and then drive all your body weight into them as they land. You can see it in the technique. They were trying to hurt Worthy too.
  4. We have to back them off. Just like last year they were coming up and being extremely physical with our receivers. At times the box was pretty heavy so getting them to back off was a must. However, Sark wasn't running the run action that he usually does to get safeties to come flying up. Those were straight dropbacks where optimum protection was key. You can tell because Brooks stayed in to block. It's as if Sark told Quinn to just air it out no matter what to get them thinking about it. We left a lot of our playbook off the table to make sure Quinn stayed upright. We ran the ball 19 times(I count the WR screen as a run) to just 9 tosses in the second half. Something was clearly going on with QE so it seemed Sark was only using him when he had to.
  5. I don't know. But we have to do something about the left side. Maybe Hutson at center and Neto a LG? Not sure.
  6. Banks, Campbell, Williams, Hutson, and Roberson.
  7. Brooks came in hurt. Looks like the Frogs got the scouting report and put a little extra twist on the ankle. They were trying to hurt Worthy too. I am sure Sark called the plays to protect Ewers. Sark isn't the kind of guy to call a whole quarter's worth of running plays. So I chalk it up to that.
  8. Yes. In the 3 man the NT is usually someone really physical and disruptive, and our C and LG aren't physical. It's a bad bad matchup for us, and those teams in the past were able to handle our running game without committing too many bodies to it. In most modern 4 man fronts there is a DT over the center(A gap), then one in the B gap, but the ends are outside the tackles. Makes it easier get the center some help in a zone blocking scheme. We will struggle against 3 man fronts with a solid NT as long as 65 and 76 are still on the 40. Because the SEC is a physical conference, most teams play defensive schemes the way we do.
  9. The less times you throw the better chance you have of not getting your QB hit. Ewers wasn't hit all night. Just what we needed. On to the next week.
  10. It's the teams with 3 man fronts. They attack the weakest part of our line and we can't get push. Traditional lines we are decent against.
  11. You guys are fucking regarded. Pretty clear QE isn't 100%. Sark seemed to want nothing to do with putting him in harm's way once we got up on them. I can appreciate that. He called his number in the end and QE delivered. On to the next. Quit fucking crying.
  12. Imagine being 9-1 and writing a post like this.
  13. He has a solid point though. The guy was loafing it for quite awhile. Not sure why. Maybe X was getting the ball too much for his liking.
  14. Maybe the negative energy from Horn fans is why we always find ourselves in these situations. Geezus.
  15. We would all be found dead in our homes
  16. Because Sark doesn't like to thrpw those but knew he had to with Murphy
  17. Last year they were muscling Worthy all over the field. The report is get hands on him and you can take him out of the game. That's why Ewers struggled. This year QE has other targets and it makes a huge difference.

    WVU @ OU 6pm Fox

I don't see WVU having enough defense for OU.

  20. That's some dumbass shit right there
  21. Leave that to @GreenspointTexas
  22. They would be a nightmare matchup for us, but if you can rn with their receivers then you can control them.
  23. The camera in the UCF game looks like the all22 view.
