  1. It's one of the worst home schedules in a long, long time. I've been on the fence about renewing my season tickets after this season (had them since 1996), but I now feel like I can't go out with this piece of shit home schedule, even if it turns out we win the national championship.
  2. Can I interest you in a Quinn Ewers thread? It's well-aged and pairs nicely with a Coach Prime discussion.
  3. Just don't say "he seems like he sucks." That is the jinx of death.
  4. I didn't realize this, but Danny Young was still taking up roster space in Sark's first season. https://texaslonghorns.com/sports/football/roster/daniel-young/10704
  5. My wife and I liked the first episode, but sounds like we don't need to spend our time on the rest of the series.
  6. Yes, he'll do what Trump wants, which will disenfranchise a good number of Republican voters, and the party will still clean house in statewide elections.
  7. He's also built like Freshman Colt McCoy whose body is not used to being hit by grown ass college defenders.
  8. He did, but a quick scan of his career stats at Texas indicates he didn't miss a lot of playing time.
  9. I'm fine with that. I just don't want to see him run like Sam Ehlinger. Sam was definitely tough, but he was also lucky to avoid any significant injury with all of the running he did.
  10. Sort of the basis for my question. Being a first-year starter after a couple years in a college system and some decent live game reps is one thing. But a true/redshirt freshman without that history is another. As it pertains to Sayin and how good he might play against the Horns (and the rest of the season), I was wondering if Trevor Lawrence was an outlier and the rest of those guys were in their respective programs longer.
  11. So in light of the Sayin news, I recall Trevor Lawrence won the title as a true freshman. Who else on this list was a true or redshirt freshman?
  12. Ah, I had forgotten how back our luck was.
  13. I consider Wisner found money after we lost Baxter early in the season, Clark before the season, and Gibson had some ball protection issues. I can easily see his numbers drop from last year simply because we have more available talent at the position, but he'll be just as solid of a contributor.
  14. Perhaps you're joking. But I remember attending the Spring scrimmage in 2010, after Mack scape-goated Greg Davis for the Alabama loss and vowed to change the offense to what he thought would be an SEC power running unit. I watched our running backs proceed to run into their offensive line over and over again, and turned to my dad and say, "Uh oh."
  15. He's indeed said similar things about Trump.
  16. We are building a fighting force of extraordinary magnitude. We forge our tradition in the spirit of our ancestors. You have our gratitude.
  17. Very true. But I think the Longhorn fanbase for the most part didn't realize how our talent level on offense had been on a downward creep. We thought the likes of Malcolm Williams, James Kirkendoll, Vondrell McGee, and Cody Johnson were going to be just fine, when in fact the Fuck-You-Pay-Me campaign had already begun.
  18. I agree. But my point was that the expectations in 2009 were a bit more justified because of a senior Colt McCoy compared to Arch Manning with all of two starts. I think Arch has better offensive talent around him than Colt did. But as great as we think Arch will be, there aren't a whole lot of data points at this time.
  19. I think that's right. A lot of it is the Arch Manning hype, but we're also coming off two consecutive semifinal appearances, have a kickass defense, and a ton of talent all over. I think the expectations should be tempered a bit from the 2009 team because we had a senior Colt McCoy who was a Heisman runner-up in 2008. But I don't think I've been as excited about the Longhorns' potential ceiling since 2009.
  20. Does he like Phil Collins?
