  2. Fuck that guy. Not you, Steve.
  3. A friend brought our dog a squeaky toy when we brought him home from rescue last winter, and he showed no interest. About six weeks ago, he discovered how awesome it is to play with right when we start watching something on TV. IMG_6089.mov
  4. Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where, uh, Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as, uh, anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your ass. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and, uh, Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

  7. David Pollack is going to be Graham Harmon's guest columnist on Gig Em Gazette.
  8. So as I read the title, your wife wants to take your kids on a Disney Cruise. I guess the real question is, what are you going to do with all that excellent time by yourself? Vegas?
  9. Great. Some goober had to math up my joke.
  10. How do you know it's not roping?
  11. Loved him in Elvis. He got robbed of the Oscar.
  12. He beet you to it.
  13. Well, your wife shaved him, so . . . .
  14. Okay, hear me out. Sark coaches the Longhorns for another 10 years, picking up a championship here and there. When he retires, Harbaugh's show cause order will have expired, we hire Harbaugh, he cheats his ass off to a couple more Longhorn titles, then leaves for another NFL job, and the NCAA hands down another 10-year show cause for Harbaugh, but does nothing to Texas except suspend our next head coach for the Rice game, leaving all our titles and wins in place.
  15. Not just mozzarella sticks, but viral mozzarella sticks. They don't specify which virus, though, but I'm guessing its a rotating menu of viruses.
  16. But Limas’ grandmother was Dutch.
  17. Thank you for posting the Catherine O'Hara eulogy. Again.

  19. And, Hill's leaving after this season.
  20. Unless there's a lot of raping going on at Boston University, I think the answer is no.
