  1. The best version of this tune.
  2. Most strikeouts by a pitcher through their first 6 appearances with the @Astros franchise (1962-): 61- Randy Johnson 61- Gerrit Cole 48- Justin Verlander 47- Yusei Kikuchi (Via 12 Ks in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Royals) 41- Roger Clemens 41- Colin McHugh 40- Lance McCullers Jr. The trade for Kikuchi continues to look pretty damn good.
  3. Different coach, different year, same aggy. I’m old as shit and seen this my entire life and it shall be the same for our children’s children’s children ad Infinitum.
  4. That’s one sharp cookie.
  5. My wife sporting gear of the South Dakota State Jackrabbits.
  6. My wife did her undergrad at South Dakota State and I’ve been following their football team for about the last four years. Don’t sleep on these guys. They can play.
  7. I started drinking again 10 days ago. Fucking chronic pain. Was struggling and pretty damned desperate. When I posted about ending up in the ER due to a combination of sleeping pills and mucho whiskey, both @BearSchlong and @pch said I could message them if I needed help….and I needed help. Theirs was not an idle offer. Within a day, I’d established a separate relationship with each of these gentlemen. They shared their experiences, made some absolutely brilliant suggestions to help me get on the path to sobriety, and followed up to check on my progress. In the middle of this, my wife (who thought I had quit drinking) found my bottle of whiskey. Instead of kicking me to the curb, which I deserved, she said, “What do we need to do to fix this?”. I sweater gawd, I won the wife lottery. My wife knows I’ve reached out to people on Surly and she’s all for it. If you’re in a bad place because of your alcohol consumption, there are people on this thread who can help you and >want< to help you. I thought I could beat this by myself and I was wrong. But, I/WE will beat this! Now, I’m 5 days sober. It’s a start.
  8. From the bowels of College Station where aggy is aggy and the sheep are nervous. TEXAS!!
  9. EOSE on a roll as they met their first milestones. +.51 to $2.70.
  10. Rewatched the 1976 Olympic gold medal bouts with Sugar Ray Leonard, Leon Spinks, Michael Spinks, Howard Davis Jr. & Leo Randolph. The USA won 5 golds, one silver, and one bronze. I doubt we ever duplicate that success.
  11. Took back some of the rise RVPH had yesterday…obviously, somebody knew this was coming… and they needed to do it. Not the end of the world as there were 29.8 million shares issued and almost 5 million of that was closely held. Stiflel resumed coverage on EOSE with a price target of $6. EOSE +.31 to $2.20.
  12. Thank you, Los Angeles.
  13. Maybe, Blanco would be better utilized if he was in the bullpen.
  14. RVPH +.30 to $1.10. She’s waking up.
  15. Thank the Lord we didn’t waste another solid start from Kikuchi. 5 2/3 innings, one earned run, and seven strikeouts.
  16. Indeed, Kikuchi has been nails so far (hope this doesn’t jinx him tonight).I suppose I should be happy for Wags. Performing well on the big stage.
  17. Since joining the Jays, Will Wagner is 8 for 15 batting a nifty .533. That gives me discomfort.
  18. Helluva performance by Framber
  19. Look at the bottom third of the Astros order today. No wonder they aren’t doing anything with the bats.
