  1. I’ve never seen a guy who was more in the zone that Steph Curry in that game. Ridiculous.
  2. PHOTO - Pravda — Kursk Oblast Compared to the 1943 Battle of Kursk—Because History Is a Great Marketing Tool (August 10, 2024) — Russia’s national anti-terrorism committee has declared the launch of "counter-terror operations" in Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk. Apparently, this is not just about securing the border; it’s also about the safety of Russian citizens who are now under the watchful eye of emergency powers. These powers include restricting civilian movement, seizing vehicles, eavesdropping on phone calls, establishing no-go zones and generally turning a border skirmish into a full scale dystopian reality show. The anti-terrorism committee has labeled Ukraine’s incursion a "terrorist attack," complete with claims of wounded civilians and destroyed homes. Of course, it’s always convenient to label anything unpleasant as terrorism—this tactic has been a staple of Kremlin playbooks since the days of the Soviet Union. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, however, has been vocal about the early successes of his troops. He insists that Russia needs to feel the sting of the full scale offensive it has been waging against Ukraine since February 2022. Meanwhile, the propaganda units of Russia’s defense ministry are trying to outdo themselves in a contest of who can produce the most dramatic war footage of tank crews blasting away at supposed Ukrainian positions in Kursk. Ever the dramatic storyteller, the Invasion Ministry already boasted about overnight air strikes and intercepting 26 Ukrainian drones, which sounds like a busy night in the Kremlin’s version of "Operation: Save Face."
  3. Or playing The Ride of The Valkyries.
  4. I can’t wait for Putin to have to start mobilizing Muscovites.
  5. And that didn’t go so well for the Argentinians. Just because you hand somebody a rifle it doesn’t make him a soldier.
  6. Now, Russia can do something with which they’re familiar. Retreating and burning their cities and villages on the way
  7. This guy right here is the answer to our short yardage issues.
  8. Obviously, you weren’t a math major.
  9. Those white peoples would run over your ass.
  10. These are the stats from our RB’s in 1969. Steve Worster 4.8 YPC, Jim Bertelsen 7.1 YPC, Ted Koy 5.3 YPC, Bobby Callison 4.7 YPC, Billy Dale 5.4 YPC, Terry Collins 5.6 YPC, Paul Robichau 6.3 YPC. These are the stats from our RB’s in 1996. Shon Mitchell 5.4 YPC, Ricky Williams 6.2 YPC, Priest Holmes 5.5 YPC, Chris Butcher 4.7 YPC, Ricky Browm 4.1 YPC. We had more depth at RB in 1969 than we did in 1996.
  11. I can’t please everyone. I’m not a taco.
  12. This team has the best stable of running backs since the Wishbone days in the late 60’s and early 70’s with Chris Gilbert, Steve Worster, Ted Koy, Jim Bertelsen, Billy Dale, Bobby Callison, Terry Collins, and Paul Robichau
  13. Deal with it Dodgers.
  14. This morning, GERN’s Rytelo has been established the as standard of care in transfusion-dependent myelodysplastic syndrome by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). NCCN sets the standard of care for various cancers. Hence, the bump in today’s GERN sp.
  15. It’s a good thing we didn’t play North Sudan.
  16. No, haven’t had a position in ALT for several years. It ran to $30 in 2020 or 2021 and I sold it around $18 on the way down for a triple. As far as buyout candidates go, I like GERN. They had a blood cancer drug approved by the FDA in June and are direct competitors to both Merck and Bristol-Myers Squibb. My guess is the buyout happens in 9 months to a year.
  17. About a month and a half into my first year at UT, my mom called me, said she was changing my bedroom into a guest bedroom, and if there was anything in my room I wanted to keep, I’d best come home that weekend to claim it. Sooo, I was able to get some clothes, my electric football game, and my baseball cards. Since we’re at the All Star break, I thought this might be a good time to share some of those cards from Houston’s MLB franchise.
  18. And only if he’s sitting in the nosebleeds.
