Recently did this Cuantos-Ensenada combo with 2 carnitas and 2 fish tacos. Glorious.
  2. Good undercarriage

I haven't had better Thai in Austin than Dee Dee and it's not close. Closest thing Austin has to Houston's Street to Kitchen, which was nominated for a James Beard award.

I wouldn't call it Tex-Mex. Their main combo plate is cochinita pibil with a mole enchilada. There's no Tex-Mex chili gravy, no queso, no tamales, no crispy beef tacos, etc. Which is fine, but it's one of the those schizophrenic interior Mexican places that feels the need to do some Tex Mex (fajitas, nachos, enchiladas) to appeal to the masses, which aren't exactly the best things on the menu.
  5. Apparently Nazis in Ft Worth like them some Torchy's.
  6. Catering talk not going away.
  7. What days do they have the porchetta?
  8. Yes they have specials almost every day.

Cuernavaca location of Patrizi's is damn good. OG location is also good but menu is more limited.
  10. Hold up there chief. You kept a receipt for a dutch oven for 8 years?
  11. The upgrade is for increased horsepower not range.
  12. I had stopped going to Whataburger because of the shitty quality lately. Went earlier today. Ordered on app while at Petco. Food was ready in 3 minutes. Since so much attention is being paid to this place, it appears they are actually trying to make edible food again - it was probably the single best Whataburger meal I've ever had. And yeah that's right in the middle of Westlake. Not sure how a reporter would get such a simple fact wrong.
  13. Well that didn't last long. Yesterday I saw a few people driving from the drive thru with food and saw the location on the app available for orders. Today its closed.
  14. Yes, the NY is legit. I like it better than Home Slice, which in my experience can be a bit bland. You can get it by the slice to test it out. It's the closest I've had in Texas to Joe's on Carmine in NYC, which is the slice joint to compare all others to.
  15. Indeed I have. Both are great. The only thing they make that I haven't tried is the vegan and gluten free pizza.
  16. Drove by earlier and the Whataburger is finally open. Also, Baldinucci might have the best pizza in town.

    This place is finominle.
  18. Anyone else on the Friday 3:45 nonstop United flight from AUS to BHM?
  19. Another vote for Nema 14-50. Cost me $350.
  20. Haven’t posted here in a while, but based on many visits Street to Kitchen might be the best restaurant in the city. Lao’d District in Chinatown is also a great Thai-Lao place.
  21. Thomas Markle in Memorial City
  22. Does Austin have an equivalent of HAR.com, which is basically a public version of Houston’s MLS database? If not, which appears to be the case, what are the best sites to look for properties?
  23. I’m pretty sure Molzan’s wife got the Bellagreen restaurants in their divorce.
