  1. James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor visit the Texas State Fair during a break from filming Giant in Marfa. July 4th 1955.
  2. Ha I looked at that cartoon for a few minutes trying to figure it out and then I scrolled down.
  3. Damn that looks awesome. Tell me a little more about this.
  4. Agree and even if you are someone who does not like their music (I do) you have to admit Neil Peart was a fucking badass.
  5. That is beyond awesome and it got a little dusty in here watching that.
  6. That had to be deliberate. Was that a Caddie?
  7. I actually tried an episode or two very early on and it just reminded me of a soap opera type of show. I heard nothing but good things about it and need to go back and watch.
  8. Me too man. That stuff was great.
  9. Wife and I watched the first episode last night. Very quirky. I never watched Mad Men but I have always enjoyed Jon Hamm’s work.
  10. Prepare to have your mind blown. When the green flag drops and the entire field goes by it is like a sound you have never heard. It will rattle your chest. The sites and sounds pre-race are amazing too. You will notice how bright and colorful the paint schemes on the cars are. Much more vivid in person. I have not been in about ten years and am mulling over going this weekend. In the past we would get to the track no later than 6:30 AM and park in the main parking lot. They did not even charge for parking back then. It is a great people watching event because you will see all walks of American lives and the talent is spectacular.
  11. I will never forget the time Pete Incavaglia challenged our entire dugout and they were looking for a place to hide. Those series back then were epic.
  12. Man I am an idiot but I was drinking Voodoo Ranger and was fired up Sunday. So I apologize to the Surly Baseball family. I still do not like balls and strikes being determined by a pitch clock or whether a batter and pitcher fail to make eye contact. That ain’t fucking baseball. Now get off my lawn asshole.
  13. The Fisher King Hard to believe that movie is 34 years old.
  14. I did not find it boring at all. It is so much better when there is no “big one”. I think there were 17 lead changes on one lap.
  15. He is twenty years old. He threw sixty (?) or so pitches total on Friday and Saturday. Pretty sure he could have pitched an inning today but fortunately we did not need him. All of this pitch count, pitch clock, eye contact between the hitter and pitcher is so fucking stupid. Bunch of pussies.
  16. Uh….what? Ever heard of Mariano Rivera? Guy could go every day.
  17. You could not be more wrong. The great thing about baseball is there is no clock. The only people that want to speed up the game, and football as well, or either TV people, sports writers and dumbasses.
  18. If Volantis (sp) is our closer he needs to be ready to pitch every game. Fuck pitch counts.
  19. Fuck this pitch clock bullshit. No one knows what the fuck is going on. I have been watching baseball for over 60 years and that shit is totally unnecessary. It also fucks up one of the greatest Carlin bits about football and baseball.
  20. It is hard to tell by the angles we are getting but early in the count it sure looks like he is stepping towards home and throwing to first.
  21. That fucking aggy pitcher is stepping towards home and throwing to first and should be a balk.
  22. Fuck that pussy for interfering with Shuse. Throw his dumbass out!
  23. Blue is squeezing Dupe big time
