  1. Completely agree. Our coverage sucks. Always has. Just like watching F1 and having them cut over for commercials.
  2. As of 7:45... got some big guests We got big news…news we haven’t told ANYONE yet. We just got word that we are going to be joined by Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg on our first call! Kinda wild to think that this mornning we were just a couple of guys sending out a few texts and now we are already a movement of over 12,000 dudes who are ready to get to work electing Kamala Harris President. OH! Shit, we forgot….we also have hats! You asked for them, and we got them. Order YOUR White Dudes for Harris dude hat HERE. All proceeds are going directly to the campaign. And don’t forget, the links to both the RSVP list and the social media kit can be found at those links here. Finally, remember…the call will be this coming MONDAY, July 29th, 2024 at 8PM. We will circulate a link to the virtual event as soon as it’s available. And of course, be good to one another. Thank you all for everything you are doing Ross, Brad and the entire White Dudes for Harris team
  3. Here you go. I'm in... https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfv8CbvFVggb-D6bQ1-oPUNULwk6f1qzkjufYGIWFiCQ0Z8RA/viewform
  4. Went to a Wednesday show at Stubb's... several shows last Friday at other venues on Red River and honestly itching for more this weekend
  5. I jumped ship from the R party right around 2015 and you can guess why. For context I interned on the Hill for a Republican. I worked at the 1992 Republican National Convention. I was a straight ticket R for three decades. Trump made me question a lot of things about who I had voted for and supported AND what I believed to be true and right. The past few years have only solidified that for me. I'm in the "independent" camp now although I tend to vote blue because I want to purge the political field of any kind of Trumpist candidates. I am tired of politicians being dicks. I am tired of the theater and ridiculousness from the right and its just so much bluster and lying. I want people to be decent and kind and normal with each other. I can't stand how much hate and fear is being driven on the right and its all about making those who don't believe them enemies and evil. F that. I also think it sucks that this country pretty much things "F You, I'm not helping you" when it comes to things like the common good. I want to vote for someone who wants to lift everyone up and has a positive and future-forward outlook, not a grumpy old man who is yelling at the clouds and things you (or you or you) need to go back in your place. Lastly, I care about the future for my children. I don't see a bright future with Trump. I don't know... this is written terribly. I could think of all kinds of reasons. I was behind Joe but am excited about Kamala. I'll do what I can to help her get elected.
  6. Yup and there were some days last summer when we would hit 100 by noon.
  7. Barns Courtney and then The Struts at Stubb's last night. Great show! Dare I say Courtney outperformed the Struts?
  8. Mmmm taco trucks https://www.msnbc.com/all-in/watch/watch-latino-trump-supporter-warns-of-taco-trucks-756863555968
  9. Can't speak to what female teenagers are specifically thinking (can anyone?) but my teenage son keeps talking about everyone being excited about Kamala. Granted, they're not able to vote but there's a lot of enthusiasm among the younger generations. That will pay off. None of that was happening with Biden and I'm positive it wasn't with Trump (maybe in backwoods Mississippi, though)
  10. Ah... saw this gem... this was a response to an article showing tech bro execs are lining up behind MAGA. This is something.
  11. Welp... https://weather.com/storms/hurricane/news/2024-07-22-atlantic-hurricane-season-wake-up-august
  12. When you are in Val Gardena, there is a great walk in the Vallunga. Lunch at Ciampac Hutte is a must. Of course, I'm sure you'll go up to Seceda. Absolutely beautiful. Jimmi Hutte is good above Colfosco. Rifugio Emilio Comici has been around forever... great location and I think there's a bike park there. Anyway, you'll love it. Selva is where I learned to ski. On Lake Garda, either stay in Riva del Garda or, since you are without kids, https://www.hotelvaldisogno.com/
  13. Watching this I think of how relatable and normal she is but, also, why do people have a problem with her laugh? WTF.
  14. Young people going to save our asses from an Ohio life Kamala is so sigma
  15. Nice to open the window and listen the rain last night in SW Austin Llano watershed looking fine...

  19. Hey y'all, Erick is going to lecture us on the black experience ...
  20. ...and they are the same voters who then responded with this: ActBlue, the leading Democratic online donation processor, reported that donors gave $46.7 million in small-dollar donations through the platform for the day by 9 p.m. Eastern. It was already ActBlue's biggest day of 2024 with hours left to go. Early Monday morning, Harris campaign spokesperson Brian Fallon said she raised $49.6 million in "grassroots donations" following Biden's endorsement of her.
  21. Kind of like the people who think Texit is a good idea "but we have oil?" .and some agriculture, cattle, yes... but we have to get a lot of our other products from other states. Dumbasses.
  22. Who wants us to be funded beyond our budget? WTF are you talking about? If anything its the opposite. House Bill (HB) 714 and a corresponding constitutional amendment, filed by state Rep. Jared Patterson (R-Frisco), would nominally eliminate the City of Austin government and establish the District of Austin in its place. “Elected officials in Austin have failed their city,” Patterson said on Twitter about his bill. “Record high taxes and crime are pushing folks out of the city, and their San Francisco wannabe policies force the state to come over the top on legislation each session.” He added that the idea is “to give the elected representatives of the State of Texas an opportunity to better manage a Capitol District, reduce taxes, enforce our laws, and defend Texas values.” If passed, the law would abolish Austin as a standalone city and make it a capital district sort of like Washington, D.C. as of January 1, 2024. Look, I used to live in Houston... the state consistently screws over Houston... but the state consistently screws over blue cities... well, they really screw over everyone. The majority of Texas voters, courtesy of the most trusted news source ever!
  23. I'm just talking in general. Legislators, especially rural ones, and Hot Wheels want to do anything that does not help the city. As for hurricanes, can we have some hurricane rain, please?
