  1. the archive sites have a known issue with certain DNS setups there are some solutions in this reddit link from a year ago: https://old.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/118haqg/archiveph_webpage_archive_as_site_is/
  2. i'm sure this is good for them bringing back all those large companies now, right?
  3. this may be the most Helobious post that Helobious has ever made.
  4. just to point out Ojomo and Thompson were in the same class, and Ojomo was drafted last year. Joseph Ossai was in the same class as Thompson and has been in the NFL for 3 full seasons.
  5. Helmut is going to shit on the guy who is close to Horner 100% of the time for the rest of his short life. He's a miserable human being who overinflates his importance to the team and the team's success. Yuki has shown a lot of "ain't shit" the last 2 years. out qualified him, yes. but man it's a shitbox and Yuki isn't showing shit. i guess that Helmut missed the long pit stop like the announcers we are currently 8% of the way into the season. for comparison, NdV got 10 races last year, which was 43% of the season. they aren't dumping him for at LEAST another 8 races.
  6. yeah - your comments sold me on it. seems like a good spot and was pretty busy on Fri right after we got there
  7. this guy is just the absolute totally and completely worst as a quick reminder here is where X is in the weekly download rankings on iOS: currently #29 in free apps, behind pintrest, just ahead of Lemon8, fanduel and Microsoft Teams. for a comparison: threads is 2, tiktok is 3, insta is 7, facebook is 13, snap is 17, reddit is 24.
  8. one would think they would have learned about the importance of QB depth back in 2022
  9. guy, you are going to a BBQ spot on a Tuesday expecting Top 50 food? come on man you should know better than that. also they were not in the most recent top 50 nor honorable mentions - they last made it in 2017 http://thesmokingho.blogspot.com/p/2021-texas-monthly-top-50-bbq-list.html https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1gyk29UKH2TsUIsyAh-Y8iAOJGGyB_Rrr&ll=32.15959695117357%2C-96.39313092801277&z=10
  10. quick reminder that every single time he posts dumb shit like this it's an incredible self own: so his own algorithm isn't surfacing things like this because it's become an unmitigated disaster for following actual "news" and live events.
  11. was in town this last weekend, quick review: Friday: great weather. Lunch at Bierhaus - good burger, very good fries and kids enjoyed dinner. swings were great, and they were not too packed. sat inside because of kids. will absolutely return here again. saw someone get shrimp tacos that looked awesome. Drove around beach, which was nice and weather was great. Wish Saturday had been this nice! Dinner at Fins, which was excellent as always. kid friendly, very good food (blackened fish and shrimp + kids popcorn shrimp) and were in and out in a reasonable time. this is a spot we will probably end up at every time we are in town with kids. Saturday: breakfast at Coach's new spot. i really like the place, easy to get in and out of - same excellent breakfast options as before. easy takeout, decent enough coffee. beach during the morning, but kid didn't really like it (she's still a bit young and afraid of the water) so spent more time driving up and down the beach in golf cart. super windy and cold as hell. wanted to cook that night, but didn't get to Pauls to pick up some shrimp/fish - decided to order from Fins again but they were not doing take out because of being busy so ordered from Tortugas. was a super easy process, not cheap but didn't expect it to be. had charbroiled fish for me and wife had the crab crusted one, really a damn good meal all the way around and a nice takeout experience (in and out in <1 min) Sunday: Coach's again with to go for kids/wife. drove along beach, then headed back home. - it's a great town. will not be the last time we come to town this year even with kiddos being kiddos. i think my wife would live @ North Padre or Port A in a heartbeat.

Wachtell is going to make so much fucking money off of Elon over the next decade. https://www.reuters.com/legal/transactional/openai-hires-musk-foe-wachtell-fight-lawsuit-over-companys-mission-2024-03-11/?utm_source=reddit.com OpenAI hires Musk foe Wachtell to fight lawsuit over company's mission
  15. the experience is the ONLY reason to go to Pat Gee's Jordan went into consulting i know, and i think he's doing some stuff w/ Joe Zavala. i know he had his issues and i am legit proud of him for making life changes - he's a good human and i'm glad he's on the right track now (and has been for 5+ years) this just came out, not sure if it's where he talked about it or not. edit: went into consulting because he wants to help folks who have a passion to help them grow their talents. trying to help people figure out what they want to do and become the best they can be. sounds like he's doing some work helping at Stanleys? said he has a knack for teaching and wants to help people. "i am here as a teacher"
  16. bringing it back to make fun of Elon's foundation https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/10/us/elon-musk-charity.html Elon Musk Has a Giant Charity. Its Money Stays Close to Home. + + + + + + most folks are significantly better at hiding things than Elon "let's move money from my foundation to another foundation run by the head of my family office" all you need to know about all of this is the minimal amount of work put into the foundation's website. i know, you think "it can't be that bad" - and you would be wrong here is a screenshot:
  17. i'm a Danny Ric fan, but ignoring a 41 second pit stop due to a jack failure and the team bringing out the wrong tires and getting ready to fit them to the wrong side of the car is fucking dumb. his total time off the track was over a minute. https://imgur.com/a/coJKHjH
  18. been a while since a full update was posted here, thought it would be useful to share one!
  19. depends on what you are in the mood for "northern italian style steakhouse" - newest/hottest spot in FBG is Alla Campagna on Main. wife's favorite app in town is their roasted garlic & ricotta meatballs. highly rec the bucatini and wild boar paparadelle. had almost all of their pizzas, but the margherita is the one we go back to. i would skip the steak, it's good but not $80 good. sides are ok - charred broccolini is excellent. their tiramisu is the best dessert in Fredericksburg. if you want something to go, they have a side entrance off of Milam for to go orders - recent one from wife and I was to order the bucatini, add a couple of the ricotta meatballs + pizza and split it. highly recommend a reservation, they use Tock. probably want to sit inside based on weather. live music, bar food and strong margaritas? Hondos - queso, grilled chicken sandwich, burgers, brisket mac & cheese are all great.warning: it's a self serve restaurant which bothers some folks but who cares. waiting list only, no reservations - you want to sit outside though. if you want good food and a little less fancy, with outdoor seating and a more new orleans style flair? Granite House. all of their apps are solid to very good. best chicken fried steak in Fredericksburg, get the fried egg on top. they have a seafood pasta special every night that's very good. i like their shrimp and grits. waiting list only, no reservations - you want to sit outside though. if you want good food and a little more upscale? Hill & Vine - carnita nachos, tri tip, redfish are all good. croissant bread pudding is one of my favorite desserts in FBG. i think they are waiting list only now, no reservations If you want fancy and the items on the menu look appealing to you, but seems more expensive than it should be? Vaudeville -Mediterranean plate, chicken pesto pizza, charred octopus. reservations recommended, i think they use RESY. If you want fancy and the items on the menu look appealing to you? Ottos is pretty well regarded as the "best" restaurant in FBG but their menu just never has pulled me in. had good experiences, but just not a menu that's for me. highly recommend a reservation, they use Tock actual Mediterranean food? Cafe Dimona (new spot in town, where Emma & Ollie used to be - know some back of house folks, just started dinner service recently) no matter where you go you should finish at OroBianco Creamery (just opened in FBG, they have locations in Stonewall and Blanco): try all that you want to, but the cutrus crema is incredible, wife loves the mint stracciatella, and they have more seasonal flavors that are not on their website. also an affogato with their house made gelatos is a life changing experience https://www.orobiancomilk.com/products/ here is where you shouldn't go and why Sage: super fancy but not really filling or that good and obscenely expensive for what it is Martini's: do you want a couple of hundred dollar seafood tower in Fredericksburg? what about fresh oysters? also this is the loudest place in town, and you support owners who are generally pretty shitty. avoid at literally all costs. Jack's Chop House: owned by the same folks as Martini's, also very expensive for FBG so we have avoided it. it's evidently gotten better since it opened but i'll never know. Burger Burger: so many better burger spots in FBG - Pecan Grove, Tubbys, Hondos, Mamacita's Restaurant: go to Campo Azul if you want cheap Mexican food, it's significantly better in every single way Altdorf: know a local who called it a freezer to table restaurant and that's basically what it is in my experience. lots of Chef Mike cooking things up in the back. very mediocre. couple of bonus spots for you Caliche: best coffee in town and nothing else is close. can take your lady friend there for an excellent avocado toast - i usually get the green chile grits bowl if they have it on menu. next door to Alla Campagna. Pritzers Sweet Shop: if you are walking around downtown this is a little tiny bakery that has excellent baked good. crossiants are great, large salted pretzel - go to are their cookies: cowboy, snickerdoodle or cinnamon toast marshmallow Piccolina: italian ice spot downtown (main & lincoln) that's fantastic - use local produce as much as possible. try all their flavors, but the lemon is the best seller for a reason. https://www.instagram.com/piccolina.fbg/?hl=en Pontotac Winegarten - like 2 doors down from Hondos and on the same block as Hondos, Alla Campagna and Caliche. cool spot off of Main that you can sit, enjoy some wine or their house made sangria. order the picnic packet which is some homemade pimento cheese, bread, olives, nuts, chocolate chip cookie, berries and sausage if you want to sit for a minute. Woerner Warehouse: solid lunch spot, good sandwiches and salads - make sure you order the Key Lime Pie Tubby's Ice House: behind the Nimitz off of Austin St. excellent burgers and very kid friendly if you need that. easy spot to sit outside and enjoy the weather if it's nice. Prometheus Pizza: new york style pizza that's currently a BYOB food truck, with a B&M opening in the very near future off of San Antonio St. Breakfast of Champions (white sauce, mozz, potato, Force of Nature wild boar chorizo, fines herbes, black pepper, cured egg yolk) is a go to order. they also have great pepperoni that actually gives you pep cups. Hilda's: get the breakfast taco only. they have a drive through. don't go for mexican food. Pecan Grove: best burger for my money in FBG. it's north of town a bit and service is slow but you are drinking a beer in an...old pecan grove...and enjoying live music. much more of a locals spot than a tourist spot. Eaker BBQ (off West Main): Top 50 BBQ joint with a Korean flair - can't recommend them enough but you are looking for dinner, which they don't have anymore sadly. their saturday special is typically a pork belly burnt end made one of a few different ways (hot honey glazed, gochujang glazed, raspberry chipolte glazed, jalapeno, mango habanero, etc) - great BBQ and even better people that own it. https://www.instagram.com/eakerbarbecue/ Der Lindenbaum - i don't eat German food but if you do, the only place to go happy to answer any specific questions/recs here or via PM!
