  1. We had a guy at the shuttle entrance that was auditioning for TSA on Saturday. Didn’t help that there was an older couple trying to go through with massive ass bags just full of bullshit, but he was digging brought little clutches and shit too. He looked between cards in my dango wallet.
  2. L’imperatrice was an absolute blast, probably the highlight of this year. Spoon, Phoenix, the Front Bottoms, Paramore, and Wet Leg were all awesome. RHCP sounded great but I’m still annoyed they only did 90 minutes including their encore. The Maria’s and Death Cab sounded fine but just weren’t exciting. Larry June, Isaac Dunbar, and Josh Fudge were unknowns that caught our ear. We skipped the headliners Friday and attempted to listen to Flume for a couple of songs and bailed early Saturday as well. I think I caught the olds.
  3. Thanks for the replies. My experience over there is from close to 20 years ago so the $.15 is dated, but the concept still stands. Just curious why we can’t decouple gas prices from the price of oil for domestic producers the way other major oil producing countries do.
  4. Necrobump. This question isn’t political, but I expect the answers to wind up going that route so I’ll ask here. Is there any explicit rules that ties the price of oil per barrel to the price of gas at the pump for US O&G companies? In theory, the price of gas should be the cost of extraction, refining, transport, and taxes plus whatever margin the companies choose to add, right? The reason I ask, is I’ve been to some countries in the ME that charge absurdly low prices per gallon ($.15/gallon), and I’m curious what prevents a similar big discount for local production from happening here. I assume some of that is gov’t ownership of some or all of those same pieces of production, but they are also just as interested in profit since for many of those countries that is their primary export.
  5. Yea, it was pretty bizarre. They did 80 minutes, left the stage, then came back for a one song encore and were done in 90. Lots of people in denial after the house lights came up and they were packing up thinking they would come out again. There were lots of weird breaks in their set too, think Keidis was having monitor trouble or something. He left the stage 6-8 times and they would all huddle up when he came back to discuss shit before playing. His vocals were also not on pace with some of the songs, which makes me think he couldn’t hear shit.

Ferreira could be fine in the right system, but it’s pretty obvious that what Gregg has these guys doing isn’t it. Most of our attack is a fullback or wing getting the ball wide and blasting crosses across the box with defenders sitting deep. Ferreira is too small to be effective in that kind of game, which makes Pefok or Pepi better selections on that point alone. If GGG was capable of change I would think he would have shown it by now, but he’s a one trick pony. He needs specific players to fit his specific system and our most talented, can’t-bench players don’t fit. So he’s stuck playing guys in a system they aren’t effective in, to the detriment of everyone. USSF is stuck at this point, but I expect after this WC we are moving on to another coach and starting over again.

This has been a problem GGGs entire tenure. Tactics in the final third are non existent. Service to the 9 is non existent. We have a bunch of individual talent trying to make magic. It would be great to have a goal hounding 9 in position to get on the end of possible magic. Pefok and Sargent are probably the two most in form for that role. Pepi can be that guy, but I think his confidence is currently in tatters. This WC is going to be dog shit, but it would be great to get real 9s some time so they aren’t coming in green for the next cycle. Unfortunately Gregg is going to build whatever bullshit roster he thinks he can win the cup with, which will probably stunt growth for the next WC.
  9. Yea, Napier left points on the table, but I think ultimately he knew his defense wasn’t going to be able to keep them from lighting it up. I don’t see that getting a lot better as the season goes on unfortunately. Once Miller is healthy at least we will have a functional backup QB so maybe they will take the bubble wrap off AR.
  10. I will drain at least one bottle if we pull this shit off.
  11. Florida has the very real possibility of losing to KY, TN, GA, LSU, and FSU in one season. SCar and Vandy aren’t a stretch with a few more injuries. Not sure the fan base could stomach that regardless of the realities in the locker room.
  12. It’s going to take a while to get the Grantham worked out of the defense I guess. Hope Napier can keep this class together because we need to turn over most of the team.
  13. Napier is Les Miles without a hat apparently.
  14. I’m really concerned Napier is a fucking idiot with how much he keeps putting the ball in 3s hands. He isn’t that guy, and you won’t be able to force it.
  15. I’m glad good AR decided to show up today.
  16. Apparently Goldfinger is calling the Florida/TN game. Edit: Brad Nessler’s makeup person must be new.
  17. Week 1 I thought everything except Georgia and TN were gimmes. Now I don’t know if we can beat vandy and SCar. If AR is really hurt he is going to continue to drag the offense down. Jack Miller (other decent QB) is out until week 7 minimum. The defense is just vulnerable with Ventrel Miller out. Losing to KY, TN, GA, and FSU would be a really shitty first year for a Florida coach, and that’s more than likely at this point.
  18. Richardson was given the green light to audible at the line. Napier may need to pull that card until things get stable again. The last pick was AR changing to a pass on his own. I agree though, that the play calling for the last two weeks has been shit. All the shit to Henderson is dog shit. He’s not quick enough for all the screen action and jet sweep shit they keep trying to use him in. Pearsall is that guy, but for some reason they keep running all that action to 3. It’s bizarre that we don’t do more to get Etienne to the edge, or wheel routes, or even some wildcat shit. If AR is busted and the backups are that bad, get creative. It’s your first year, effort is way more important than results right now. Being stubborn is what got Mullen canned. I’m worried right now that Napier is a system coach that is trying to make the wrong pieces fit shit they aren’t good for, instead of being able to make chicken salad out of the chicken shit we currently have for a roster. This shirt is still hanging in my closet. May have to bust it out again.
  19. Lol, what a shit show. Napier has a lot of shit to fix.
  20. Shit has worked all night, they are averaging like 8 a carry.
