  1. I believe that FSU chant has surpassed Boomer Sooner in annoyance factor.
  2. I won't pollute the game thread with this, but the mental gymnastics they're going through explaining Texas kicking ass are hilarious. https://texags.com/forums/5/topics/3428172/1 Mozart Paintings In reply to Artorias • 12:41p AG Agreed. No way they could beat the likes of Alabama
  3. I'm blaming them because a holding call took away a 23 yard gain and forced them into a 1st & 20 and the play calling changed.
  4. All caused by another penalty on the offensive line
  5. TD for the big man!
  6. So, is Penix going to go stick his head in the equipment cart again?
  7. Texags has it solved Stringfellow Hawke 11:57a AG Obligatory let the investigation run its course. Would not be surprised to learn a sip fan is behind this and trying to place blame on OK state.
  8. He misspelled bullshit.
  9. Scotch, bourbon, she doesn't know the difference. I explained it to her tonight and hid the Scotch.
  10. My wife used 1/2 cup of my 12 year old single malt scotch to make some kind of croc pot chicken, instead of the cheap stuff I bought her to cook with.
  11. Nah, it's a west Texas thing too.
  12. I think it was this one. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2020/04/30/north-hollywood-bank-shootout/
  13. I couldn't find any mention of it. I know there was another robbery a few years ago where the perps were loaded up with armor. I remember one of b the guys walking down the middle of the street and the cops couldn't stop him with any rounds they had. I think they ended up getting some high powered rifles from gun store to bring him down.
  14. I read a few articles about the shootout. The agents had .38's, 9mm, .357' and 870 pumps. One agent lost his .357 in the crash. The suspects had almost super human powers and the shots that should have stopped them didn't. They also had a mini-14 and .357 revolvers. The agent who killed them did so with a .357. Reading about the ordeal reminded me of a saying attributed to a combat soldier. A pistol is what you use to fight your way to get your rifle. They were seriously outmatched by the mini-14.
  15. I think it was developed at the request of NATO to look for a replacement for the 9MM. It was more accurate at greater distances than the 9 but Germany objected and further development was stopped. But it was popular enough to hang around until Ruger developed a handgun for it. From what I've read it's pretty accurate out of a handgun up to 100 yards. If NATO would have adopted it, they would be making ammo by the billions and the per round price would come down considerably.
  16. The best "fill in the musical instrument player" discussion/argument kills me. I'm in agreement with you. 95% of the people arguing have no clue of proficiency/ability on any given instrument, just a biased opinion on what they like. People who claim Hendricks/Clapton/Slash et all, guitarist are the best ever, just spout what they've read somewhere else. Ever see Terry Cathy or Jan Akkerman play? I saw Carlos Montoya play flamenco guitar and he was amazing. He could do stuff most guitarist could never imagine doing. I guess people like to argue or try to prove their own importance/knowledge/superiority on subjects. I don't really care. I just enjoy the music.
  17. How about "don't let the bullet hit you where the good lord split you"?
  18. But what does El commandant say about Elko? ( I tried to add Jimbo's face, but I'm old and have no skills)

    Getting old sucks

Rotator cuff surgery was 6 weeks ago, tomorrow. My surgeon showed me pictures of my tendons. They looked like someone had taken ropes and dragged them over concrete edges for a week, looking like a net full of holes instead of looking like ropes. Recovery has been the 100% polar opposite of last time. Nerve block worked perfectly. I took pain meds for 12 hours, woke up the morning after surgery without pain and have not taken any since then. Tylenol twice a day has worked perfectly fine. I have had almost no pain above a 3 or 4 since surgery, even during therapy. My therapist said I'm 2 weeks ahead of schedule so we're advancing the therapy tomorrow. If I would have known it was going to go this well, I would have had it done a year ago. It might have helped that I exercised regularly and took care of myself. I know of two other guys who are still on pain meds 8 weeks after surgery. But for whatever reason it has been easy this time around.
  20. A shit ton of denial over there.
  21. Don't look at the videos of the guys driving it an night. I'm not sure I could even walk it.
  22. If you have to make a commercial that says "we're not weird", you are and are just trying to convince yourself otherwise.
