  1. Someone should print out a copy of his letter and send it to him along with a version of this
  2. Don't knock it till you've tried it. Personally, a prefer a nice HFCS sandwich. Nice syrupy smack to each bite
  3. You people should try kicking the shit out of your dads more often
  4. Did it not occur to him to share this information with anyone when he previously coached there?
  5. Given all the laughter at aggy"s expense, we're probably less than 24 hours from an aggressive Looch article wherein he compares the hires of Elko and Sark and reaches the conclusion that objectively Elko is a much more justifiable hire, and any mocking you here coming from Austin is driven by fear and jealousy.
  6. I don't read that as the criteria being listed in order of importance, but it certainly does allow them room to decide that SOS is more important than H2H
  7. Wait, are you seeing this somewhere or is this just your opinion? Because that seems backwards. We go to things like SOS, comparable opponents, margin of victory, etc., when we DON'T have a H2H to determine who's better. Otherwise, you're arguing that the best way to determine who is a better team is not have the teams play, but to use other metrics. Or, similarly, the argument allows one to put forth that the winner of the NC game may not be the better team because the losing team had a harder SOS.
  8. I could see us jumping them IF we beat OSU by 24+ The reason being, it seems (by process of elimination) the committee valued Oregon's "dominance" during the mid-late part of the season, while Texas limped to W after W. If Texas boat races OSU, that will be 3 straight weeks to close out the season in which Texas looks elite. Using their own criteria (cited numerous times above) there would not be a single objective metric in which Oregon bests Texas, and Texas has put to bed whatever issues they had when they were squeaking out victories. That said, I don't see that as the likely outcome even if Texas blows out OSU.
  9. I knew he was going to be good, obviously. I didn't share that at the time because I don't like being seen as a know-it-all. But I knew
  10. I had a libertarian classmate in law school who argued (in class) that fire departments and all other public agencies should be subscription based as all taxation is theft. Looked him up the other day and he's assistant general counsel for the Texas Public Finance Authority where his 6 figure salary is covered by taxpayers.
  11. No, I don't know. That's why I'm asking you, the smug expert. But I do appreciate the insight that the myriad gun, safety, red flag laws, etc. that have been passed on the local and state levels in Democratic controlled regions, are just performative, and thus the Dems are equal to the GOP when it comes to addressing gun violence. Holy shit typing it out makes it seem even more insane than when you posted it
  12. Yes, having the members of this board perform one additional click of the mouse is "ignoring" the issue.
  13. LOL, I literally have a pic of a charred corpse on my second monitor as I prepare for a hearing in a murder case. Its a reasonable request and has nothing to do with "mental weakness." Go fuck yourself Helo
  14. um, maybe we can spoiler that?
  15. Really putting an old testament spin on the classic "Emperor has no clothes" parable
  16. And very easy to see how one could get lost on the way to the stadium
  17. As usual, Slorch hits the nail on the head. During Christmas time, I drive around and see all these upper class people donating their money and time to the underprivileged and you can almost see the imaginary high ground they cling to. Obviously if one were serious about helping the less fortunate, they'd be selling their house, moving into a cheap apartment, and distributing the proceeds to the most needy.
