  1. It got way too much credit from that vaginal effort by Iowa State. Vaginal is being kind.
  2. I like the flow and continuity of X's offense - constant and with a purpose.
  3. Yeah, I always forget about the First Four.
  4. Unlike Pitt's last opponent, this one is actually interested in playing.
  5. I don't think Taing knows what to expect from K-State.
  6. Duke had 15 minutes during halftime to go from being freshmen to seasoned veterans. That's a big ask but it's what happens when you, almost literally, get punched multiple times during the first 20 minutes of the game and you have to grow up, quickly. Pretty sure Filipowski was concussed two minutes into the game after he took that shot. That set the tone for the game and Duke never recovered. Losing Mitchell before the game ever started was big as Duke already struggled from the perimeter and then Roach's foul trouble exacerbated things. At the end of the day Barnes won this game with a brilliant plan and I'm always happy when good things happen for him.
  7. Yep. Terry saw him multiple times in conference. Thanks for the clarification.
  8. I've understood the same although Terry drove things with Rice. Someone may be able to add to that.
  9. Sans the Missouri abortion, indeed. Just amazing drama. Again, we get these one and done games and it's incredible. Literally watching Purdue wilt in front of our eyes yesterday against a team it would beat 99 times out of 100, just can't be beat at any level of sports.
  10. His name is Bob Donewald. Beard handed him the offense at the beginning of the season, including development of the interior players. The proof is in the pudding. This team's go-to went from the perimeter to a balance toward it's front-line players over the last several weeks. And it's why Texas is playing in the 2nd weekend. Without that development from Donewald Texas is going home tonight to begin off-season workouts.
  11. There's a ton of scum there, and in that conference Welcome to the SEC, Texas.
  12. I don't disagree. There's the youth and the stuff on the periphery. It could eventually get to them.
  13. I like Capel, a lot. But don't count on X shooting 22% for the game.
  14. Strained groin, but seemed to be fine tonight. SDSU has what it takes to beat Bama, especially if the latter isn't shooting the 3.
  15. Bama is the only pro-looking team in the tournament. Their guys, athletically, are simply above and beyond everyone else. We'll see what the next 2 weeks hold for them, more off the court then anything else. So far, Bama's focus has been impressive.
  16. Quinerly has quietly become the glue of Bama. In the locker room and, many times, on the floor. Makes big, big shots when needed.
  17. It's the best event in all of sport. 63 game 7's. What else could we want...
  18. Wonder how many showers Oats has to take every day.
  19. Really interesting SDSU / Bama game on the horizon.
  20. - Horns are in. Damn straight. Great, resilient effort v. Penn State. It will beat Xavier, who will beat Pitt. - Sampson wants nothing more than to see and murder IU. UH guards both look okay. Trouble for other teams. - San Diego State is cocksure of itself, for good reason - length, athleticism and confidence. Bama matchup will be tasty. - And on the subject, Oats is a clown and Miller may well have been an accessory to a murder. But the former has somehow kept his team focused and the latter is the best player in the tournament as long as he stays out of the cage. Fascinating team, for many reasons. Some not good. - The only upside to seeing more of Arkansas is seeing more of Musselman's wife. - FAU should probably opt out of Tennessee. Ask Filpkowski and his face / forehead. More to come, add as you wish. (And as a side note both Iowa State and Missouri should be banned from the tournament for a year for vaginal efforts that embarrassed the game.)
  21. Oats is an ass and Miller may well have been an accessory to a murder but 2 things are clear - the former has somehow managed to keep this team focused throughout this mess and that team is a lot of fun to watch. A lot.
  22. Clowney's head goes to different places way too often. With a healthy Miller, not sure if I like Bama or Houston more to win it. The former just has too many mental lapses.
