  1. I'm sure we'll engage a consultant or 10 to assess why it's taking so long.
  2. Will be interesting to see if Cronk gets a 15% raise at his next PE or 10% as a slap on the wrist for this fiasco.
  3. Gives new meaning to being open. Trash bins at least. Heavily discounted food from HEB at Wm. Cannon / 35. As in free. One upside to the power issue, for some. Nice to have the carts nearby, for sure. https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/people-warned-not-to-eat-food-taken-from-dumpsters-at-se-austin-h-e-b-william-cannon-i35
  4. Should have went over to Jefferson's house. Bet his heat was working.
  5. It wouldn't be the city council without consultants / studies.
  6. Here. Trees were already under a lot of strain going into yesterday evening. Another 12 hours of that took things from bad to worse, really worse. That was a very weird, unnerving feeling overnight just waiting for things to pop. Literally. And then going out to inspect things - hopefully seeing limbs, not trees down. And hoping they simply hit the ground or fence, and not the roof.
  7. As feared, shitastic overnight. Every other hour - crack, one or two seconds, and small boom. Fence damaged, not sure about minor roof damage. Can hardly walk in our backyard as it's littered with limbs, and big ones. Thankfully, nothing went through the roof. I'm surprised the weather guys aren't getting hit with this a bit more. As late as Saturday evening / Sunday morning, it was just going to a cold rain mid week. Next thing you know, city's down for almost a week. We've got really good local guys. I think there was a whiff in this instance. Oh well.
  8. If so, that's nightmare material. Feels like they're a bit big to be the real deal.
  9. Plus 1 on the Utah plan. My first dollar and every dollar since has went to it.
  10. No interest in pics of your wife. Just want to see the rest of your bar. Damn.
  11. Neighbors all out and about late this afternoon just waiting for more snap, crackle and pop. Fairly frequent. Trees have been laboring now for 18 or so hours with ice. Accuweather says we're above freezing after midnight and at 37 by 8A. Damn sure hope that's the case.
  12. I remember reading about Beard handing over the offense to Donewald to allow Beard to focus on the defensive side a bit more. Gave him the freedom to install / inject new ideas and eliminate some of the rigidity. I can't speak to Donewald's recruiting. I do believe he has a good offensive mind.
  13. Yeah, about right. Shit's not melting and the trees already under strain have a long night ahead of them.
  14. I've got 31 on my app (StormShield). It may be a degree or two warmer but nothing is really melting. Maybe it gets above freezing late tomorrow morning. We seem to be losing a limb every other hour. Just hoping nothing goes through the roof. That's the best outcome. Tonight's going to suck.
  15. With another 18-24 hours before we get above freezing it's going to be really ugly tomorrow at this time.
  16. Will that keep players from being blinded by the sun?
