  1. You're right about that. I did enjoy seeing the video of the hot Louisville player, in pigtails no less.
  2. I really like what I saw from Michigan State yesterday. Sometimes it's fine to get knocked out early in a conference tourney. (See Texas '03 in the run to New Orleans.) Sparty has that mix of blue collar, tough guys around the paint along with some nice talent on the perimeter and Hauser seems to love to take, and make, big shots. Izzo is Izzo. Nowell seemed to hit a wall at the end of the conference season but now he's playing teams that have not seen him and he's capable of carving up any defense, over and over. This will be a fun game.
  3. Sasser looked fine Saturday. Moving around fine and shot it well beyond the arc (6 for 9). Would have played more than 31 minutes had it not been for foul trouble. Sheed's knee may be a bigger issue than Sasser's groin. I think Houston wins by 6 - 8 points but we'll see.
  4. - CBS moved early tips on Thursday and Friday up 40 +/- minutes. Those two games have always started just after 6:00 central. - Sampson won’t be able to exact any revenge on and molest IU. Miami gets it instead. - Sparty and K-State is going to be outstanding; no need to worry about breathing exercises during timeouts from either coach. #laughatshaka - Barnes has to beat FAU. No option, It's FAU, a basketball juggernaut. Tenny will try and make this another football game. - Creighton will dispose of Princeton. The latter shoots wide open 3s really well and hustles alot but so do teams at the Y. - Zags and UCLA will be fun. Both play their conference tourneys in Vegas so they’re comfortable in the setting. Bruins dodged another injury situation, sounds like Singleton will play. Clark’s still done and that could be its undoing. But you never bet against Jacquez and Campbell. Timme, either, I guess after last night’s performance.
  5. You have some ifs and let's put them aside, especially the one about Baylor being better when George doesn't play. Your original post said that George might lose two spots in the draft due to the tourney. That's where you should take a step back and re-assess. Scouts are examining every data point In making a lottery pick, including tournament play but that's a very small piece of it. So, so much more goes into it. The idea that George may drop two spots in the draft, a huge drop, because of 4 hours this weekend is worthy of a good night's sleep and re-thinking that assertion. I'm not a fan of Baylor. More so, just a fan of objectivity.
  6. Two spots because he and his team had an off night, at altitude? Guessing you're not looking to be an NBA GM any time soon.
  7. Not really. Talents supercedes things like this. And he's loaded with talent.
  8. Precisely. It's stupid. Almost as stupid as emphasizing breathing exercises during a crucial moment of a game.
  9. He's just as uninformed as Barkley. They cover the NBA all season and are supposed to know college basketball with a moments notice. Stupid.
  10. Painter should give back a 1/4 of his salary for that abortion against a team that would struggle in a game at the Y. Atrocious.
  11. It's a beating listening to Barkley talk college basketball. Last time I tuned in to him w/ detail he said A/M was too athletic for Penn State and would win by DD. Smart basketball mind, but touches CBB 3 days before the tournament starts. Dumb.
  12. The yellows are infinitely better than these prison unis.
  13. These Baylor uniforms should be outlawed.
  14. Izzo is such a great coach. Smart will never be anything but mediocre.
  15. One guy coaches. The other one spends timeouts accentuating breathing exercises. Could there be a bigger coaching mismatch, Izzy v. Smart?
  16. Nowell. At the end of the conference season he was getting shut down. Been there, seen him. New opponent, not used to what he does and how he excels.
  17. We're almost 30 minutes deep into this game and there's not been a single attempt to draw an off ball charge. Weird. Odd. Fine by me. Scourge of the game.
  18. Nowell going to continue to carve up that soft / undisciplined defense.
  19. Outstanding job of K-State going 2 for 1 at the end there. You don't see it often at the college level. Converted both. Nowell's court awareness is really good.
  20. If they let Oscar stay in the lane for 6-8 seconds each possession he may get 20 offensive rebounds.
  21. They didn't have to do much of any praying. Correct.
  22. Texas defense will be a challenge for it.
