  1. And Disney did fire James Gunn for tweets he made years before he was hired and for which he had already apologized.
  2. See, now we're back to the false equivalency thing. You're claiming Disney is being inconsistent here because Gina and Pedro were treated differently for doing the same thing when they did not in fact to the same thing. Whether the difference between those two things--whether one is offensive and one is not--is enough to merit different treatment between the two is entirely within Disney's discretion.
  3. You seem to be confusing yourself. I asked a simple question if it would be an issue if it's just about offensive political twittering. You said yes. Now you seem to be saying it wouldn't be an issue. My question had nothing to do with contracts or other variables that may be in play here. It's a simple question of does it matter if Disney made the decision solely based on what it views as offensive political twittering?
  4. Are you on the Board of Disney? It's their opinion that matters here, not yours. They get to decide if comparing kids in cages to kids in cages is more or less offensive than comparing kids in cages to . . . conservatives being held accountable for their actions? I'm really not even sure what she's complaining about in her comparison (which kind of points to it being more offensive). Regardless, they get to make the choice of what they view as acceptable. If they don't agree with your bullshit false equivalency, that's perfectly within their discretion. If you don't like their choice, you can stop supporting them.
  5. Two things: 1. The only free speech at issue here is Disney's. This has zero to do with Gina's free speech rights. 2. Conservatives really care about accountability until they are the ones being held accountable. Whether it's the impeachment, the COVID response, BLM, taxes, etc.; all they do is rant on and on about personal accountability and responsibility. But when it comes to them being held responsible they have to resort to claiming they are being treating like Jews during the Holocaust.
  6. Would it be a problem if it is about offensive political twittering?
  7. I've had both a Spec's and a TW store pick. While I like both, the TW was clearly superior.

  12. Bettany is British. Ian McKellen is British and has been acting forever. It's fucking Magneto.
  13. So the trading apps are killing off the stocks by not allowing anyone to buy. That seems more corrupt that some redditors saying "hey, let's all buy this stock."
  14. When I search for NAKD, AMC, or GME on RH nothing comes back. So it seems like they are removing all of them from their search engine.
  15. Broke out something from the back of the beer fridge to celebrate the inauguration. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  16. Drank some of mine last night to celebrate America living on a little bit longer. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  17. I'm a fan of this administration treating the COVID pandemic like it's a pandemic. I like that they are using science and data to drive policies that are intended to save American lives and get us back to normal as soon as possible instead of sitting on their asses and lying to the American people to protect a deranged President's fragile ego. Wait . . . science . . . data . . . honesty . . . saving lives. Shit, those are liberal values. My bad for messing up the intent of the thread.
  18. Did a tasting of three of my higher proof bourbons last night--1792 Full Proof SPec's SiB, Rare Breed, and Old Forester 1920. 1792 was a clear winner with RB edging out OF for second place.
  19. This West Brom v Arsenal snow globe game is pretty fun to watch. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  20. I hesitate to say this, because who knows what happens, but are Arsenal trying to throw the game with that lineup? Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  21. Tammy has been excellent today. He was key to the build up to both goals that he scored and has generally been great with hold up and distributing on the build up.
  22. This is so tough. One of the best meals I've had was at a fucking BJ's during happy hour after a long day at Magic Mountain. We were starving and it was the only half-way decent place available with open seating. But when it comes to actual, nice food. It's Eleven Madison Park followed shortly by Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Both were tasting menus. EMP had the better food but Blue Hill had the better experience. It's on a working farm about an hour north of NYC and the bulk of what they use was grown or raised on the farm. It's half dinner, half food education. They do a great job of explaining what you are eating, how they grew it, and how everything they do is done with food sustainability in mind.
  23. It's mentioned frequently in the Austin Bourbon Facebook group with 2.1k members. It's definitely not a secret.
